Golf tournament planned in honor of Glendora police officer slain 20 years ago

GLENDORA >> The Officer Louie Pompei Golf Tournament will be held July 13 at the Glendora Country Club, 2400 Country Club Drive, Glendora.
The tournament was created to raise money for the families of police officers who have been killed in the line of duty after the Glendora police officer was shot and killed while attempting to stop an armed robbery at a grocery store on June 9, 1995.
Check-in begins at 10 a.m. with a noon shotgun start. The cost of the tournament includes: cart, green fees, range balls, lunch, unlimited drinks on the course and dinner at T. Phillips Alehouse and Grill, located at 180 N. Glendora Ave.
