Man sought in sexual battery of sleeping woman in Pasadena

PASADENA >> Police are seeking a man who sexually battered a homeless woman as she slept early Saturday morning, officials said.
The crime took place about 2:50 a.m. in the 400 block of South Raymond Avenue, Pasadena police Lt. John Mercado said.
The woman awoke, “startled to find herself partially unclothed,” the lieutenant said. The suspect was asleep behind her, with his hands resting on her groin.
Once the woman stirred, the man got up and ran away, Mercado said.
Police described the attacker as a Latino man in his 40s between 5 feet and 5 feet, 4 inches tall. He weighed between 140 and 150 pounds, had short black hair and was clean-shaven. He wore a black hooded sweatshirt, charcoal gray pants, light-colored shoes and a blue or black sweater wrapped around his head. He was believed to be transient.
