Camera found hidden in restroom of La Habra Del Taco


LA HABRA >> Police are seeking whoever is responsible for hiding a small camera inside a women’s restroom of a Beach Boulevard fast-food restaurant.
The camera — described as about the size of a car alarm remote control and fitted with a memory card — was discovered Friday at Del Taco, 751 S. Beach Blvd., La Habra police officials said in a written statement.
Based on recovered footage, investigators believe at least two victims were recorded by the camera, officials said. “It is unknown how long the camera may have been present at this location,” according to the police statement.
The victims scene on the recordings are had not been identified, however Del Taco representatives determined they were not employees.
Police initially distributed photos of three men described as potential persons of interest, but soon ruled out as suspects.
“These persons actually assisted in retrieving and locating the camera and had no criminal involvement,” according to the police statement.
