Police chase bear out of Glendora home

GLENDORA >> Police used a bean bag round to chase away a bear that broke into a Glendora couple’s home late Wednesday, officials said.
The four-legged intruder showed up about 10:30 p.m. at a home in the 1900 block of East Foothill Boulevard, Glendora police Sgt. Michael Henderson said.
Officers arrived to find the animal in the home’s kitchen, where it reportedly helped itself to a snack of tortillas and bread.
Police shot the bear once in the hindquarters with a bean bag fired from a shotgun, and it quickly made its way out of the home and back into the forest, Henderson said.
