More than 20 rounds fired in Pasadena shooting, no victims found


PASADENA >> Police responding to reports of gunfire found more than 20 spent bullet casings in the street early Saturday, but no signs of any victims or suspects, officials said.
Police received numerous 9-1-1 calls reporting gunshot about 12:45 a.m. in the area of Penn Street and Marengo Avenue, Pasadena police Lt. John Mercado said.
Officers discovered more than 20 fired “large-caliber” bullet casings in the street, the lieutenant said.
But they found no victims or suspects during a search of the area, he said.
