El Monte police seek missing, suicidal teen

EL MONTE >> Police and worried family members are seeking a 15-year-old girl who disappeared Friday, leaving behind a suicide note.
Cynthia Heredia was last seen about 7 a.m. at her home in the 10900 block of Ramona Boulevard, El Monte police Sgt. Alex Martinez said in a written statement.
“Heredia reportedly left a suicide note stating she was going to take her life,” he said. “Heredia’s mother, who read the note, immediately reported the incident to the police department.”
The girl, who suffers from depression, has not been seen since.
Heredia is described as Latina, 5 feet 4 inches tall, 110 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a gray and white sweatshirt and blue pants.
