Men robbed of cell phone at gunpoint in San Dimas


SAN DIMAS >> A gunman with facial tattoos and an accomplice robbed two other men of a cell phone at gunpoint in a residential San Dimas neighborhood Friday afternoon, officials said.
The crime was reported just before 1 p.m. at the garage of a home in the 400 block of North Cataract Avenue, Los Angeles County sheriff’s Sgt. Jorge Chavez said.
Two men in their late-teen to early-20s told deputies they were approached by two men, he said. One of the men brandished a handgun and demanded the victims turn over their cell phones.
After obtaining one phone, the robbers were last seen fleeing the area in a silver Toyota Camry, the sergeant said. No injuries were reported.
The gunman was described as a Latino man between 35 and 40 years old, with tattoos on his face and both arms. His accomplice was described as a Latino man between 25 and 30.
