Pico Rivera restaurant robbed


PICO RIVERA >> An armed robber held up a Rosemead Boulevard Mexican food restaurant Wednesday evening, officials said.
The heist unfolded just before 7 p.m. at Tacos Maria’s, 4611 Rosemead Blvd., Los Angeles County sheriff’s Lt. Alex Villanueva said.
The robber entered the store, brandished a semi-automatic handgun and stole an undisclosed amount of money from the business’ cash register, the lieutenant said.
He was described as a Latino man, about 35 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 180 pounds, with brown hair shaved short and brown eyes, wearing a brown T-shirt and blue jeans. He was last seen running westbound on Beverly Boulevard.
