Man killed in San Gabriel shooting; suspect sought


SAN GABRIEL >> A man died Sunday after he was shot in a residential neighborhood in San Gabriel, authorities said.
The shooting was first reported about 7:20 p.m. in the 1900 block of South Brighton Street, Deputy Juanita Navarro-Suarez of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau said in a written statement.
Paramedics took the victim to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, she said.
The shooter, described only as a man, was last seen running east, according to Deputy Trina Schrader,
Detectives from the Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau are assisting the San Gabriel Police Department in the investigation.
