Fire risk prompts weekend road closures in Angeles National Forest

ANGELES NATIONAL FOREST >> Authorities are planning to shut down vehicle access to Glendora Mountain Road and Glendora Ridge Road in the Angeles National Forest north of the San Gabriel Valley this weekend due to elevated fire danger risk.
The two mountain roads will be closed Saturday and Sunday, and are expected to reopen Monday, Los Angeles County sheriff’s officials said in a written statement.
The closure will only affect vehicle traffic. “Bicyclists and pedestrians are allowed,” the statement added.
Officials urged forest visitors to use caution and keep aware while recreating in the forest.
