UPDATED: Man sought in sexal assault of male student at Pasadena City College


PASADENA >> Investigators are seeking a man who sexually assaulted a male student in a locker room at Pasadena City College earlier this week, officials said Friday.
The attack took place about 5:15 p.m. Tuesday at the campus, 1570 E. Colorado Blvd., according to a crime bulletin issued by PCC.
“A male PCC student was forcefully raped inside the W-building men’s locker room,” the bulletin said.
The victims was an adult, Pasadena police Lt. Jason Clawson said. The sexual assault occurred as the victim was retrieving items from the locker room.
Police learned of the incident the following day, when they responded to an area hospital after the victim reported the attack, the lieutenant said. Police declined to confirm the gender of the victim.
Officials described the rapist as a Latino man between 20 and 22 years old, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, 170 pounds, with brown hair anbrown eyes. He had his head shaved in the front, with long hair in the back, and has a nose ring through his septum. He was last seen wearing a dark, long-sleeve shirt and Khaki pants.
“The circumstances of the assault remain unclear, but preliminary investigation reveals no known threat to public safety,” Clawson said.
Pasadena police are assisting PCC police with the investigation.
