You would think that in the weeks leading up to the Tournament of Roses parade that Pasadena PD would have a better handle on the streets of Old Pasadena. Apparently not.
Last year about this time there was a shooting after a drug deal went bad.
Last night a guy was reportedly stabbed by a panhandler.
So here’s the Crime Scene question of the day …
Is Old Pasadena safe?
A 21-year-old man was stabbed to death on Garvey Avenue Thursday night about 11:30 p.m., authorities said.
His body was then dumped in the wash near Lee Street. Homicide detectives rolled to the scene, little else is known about the case this morning.
Not much detail yet, but reports from the overnight police logs indicate there was a stabbing in La Puente near Nogales High School just before 10 p.m.
Sheriff’s homicide is handling the investigation into the case. The slaying happened near the intersection of La Puente Road and Nogales Avenue.
Here’s the latest on our Web site. I’ve also posted a map of the area below.
