Mustain turns down Los Altos, Arellanes still mulling?

UPDATE: In case this is getting confusing for any of you, which I completely understand is possible, here is where we’re at with this situation. Both the Mustain and Arellanes things have occurred this week, according to multiple sources. Is the overlap confusing? Yes and no. According to multiple sources, Mustain turned it down and Arellanes is building a potential staff in case he takes it. Again, that’s according to sources. I’ve heard enough specifics from these sources to believe that they’re telling me accurate information. If Arellanes does indeed turn down the job, that won’t change my belief that what the sources say is happening right now and the past few days is happening.

San Dimas High School football team defensive coordinator Brian Mustain has turned down the open Los Altos job, according to multiple sources.

Mustain helped San Dimas win the Mid-Valley Division this past season by calling shots for a defense that allowed just eight points per game this season. He joins Kiki Mendoza, who turned the job down two weeks ago.

Earlier this week several sources said Northview coach Jim Arellanes interviewed on Monday. The sources are adamant that Arellanes is still considering taking the position, even going so far as to say he’s putting out feelers about potential assistant coaches. But Arellanes denied reports that he was considering the position on Tuesday, saying nothing had changed since he turned down the original overture earlier in the process.

  • Journalism 101 Economics 401

    Aram are you guessing now?

Seems odd that Mustain’s name comes up while Arellanes is thinking over an offer?

Now what credibility do your sources have?

This makes Morrison the clear front runner…as I said from Day One !

This job will come down to one thing….who “needs” a J.O.B.!!!

    Follow the money.

    Take notes Aram

    You’re welcome.

    Journalism 101,

Not guessing at all. And I want you to enjoy this because it may be the first and last time I big time anybody on this board: I was at FOX and worked side-by-side with Ken Rosenthal on most of the biggest trades and signings you saw in Major League Baseball the past two seasons. Almost everything we broke was initially sourced information. So don’t ever question whether I’m guessing and whether I know what a good source is. I saw exactly what it was like to work with sources and how to handle evolving situations at the very highest level. I don’t just trot out what I overhear in the line at Fresh N Easy.

My job is to weigh what’s a good source and what isn’t. My job is to relay to all of you what I hear and keep you abreast of an evolving situation to the best of my ability.

I’m reporting both sides here. I have my sources saying one thing and Coach Arellanes saying another. Let the situation play out and we’ll see what happens.

  • reality

Seems like LA is offering the position to multiple coaches all at the same time. That is not a fair way to fill the position. A quality candidate would likely think is this type of weird goings are on going to continue after being hired. Can you trust what they say over there? Maybe a talk with the former coach would be the smart play.Very weird.

  • BIG TIMING ON THE TRIBUNE’S SHOTGUN BLOG…WOW!!! YOU GOT ME !!! LOL

Aram how is that big timing anyone? I asked a simple question about your sources. In the same week that you mentioned Mendoza turned down the LA job you wrote that Arellanes was mulling an offer over, in spite of his denials, and then you wrote “that there were conflicting reports coming out of Los Altos”( NO SHT SHERLOCK) and then you wrote that Mustain turned the job down. All with in “7″ days. Was I calling into question “your’ credentials or the fact that “multiple sources” are making you look like a chicken with his head cut off, the LA Adminsitration look like they can’t find their brains or that everyone is guessing “out loud”. I’m asking here as none of this makes sense.

Seems reasonable to draw that conclusion, as some one wrote, “that LA “MUST” be OFFERING THE SAME JOB TO MULTIPLE APPLICANTS….AT TEH SAME TIME?????”…now does that sound logical to you Aram? I’ll differ to you being the expert here on “your” blog but allow that my point was and is….it’s all very confusing and seems as if no one can keep their stories straight…here…today…in this situation. I don’t see how that’s your fault, how that’s questioning your credentials or how that says anything about you…but DOES…say allot about EVERYONE ELSE…GET IT? EVERYONE ELSE???? I’LL TRY AGAIN….E.V.E.R.Y.O.N.E E.L.S.E. !!!

Now if that means you feel I’m questioning your ability to follow a story and your response is I worked at Fox then my answer to you is… Hey I’m just reading your stuff! LOL

It’s not like I’m making it up Aram ! BTW…do people really “leave” Fox to ride shotgun with Fred, Miguel & Steve? You mean like a JC “bounce back”…CBS…here I come!!! paging Les Moonves

Touchy aren’t we…dont get mad at me…get mad at your sources…they’re making you look…ummm….FOX-ish . Give up?

There are hundreds of opinions on here…why did that one get to you? Pretty funny Aram.

  • SD

Great move Coach Mustain. We know why you stayed and we look forward to next year too!

  • Oilerville

What about Pete Gonzalez at Montebello? He is a proven winner and he applied for the job?

  • HaHa

Northview….You are now DONE! Good luck to you. Losing a good coach, like always (Gano, Podley,Z,Quinsey, now Arellanes) Can’t hire any coaches due to no jobs. There aren’t any qualified guys on campus. Northview is the new Ganesha.

  • http://www.insidesocal.com/sgvfootball Aram

    To anybody wondering,

I left FOX because I didn’t like it there, not because I got caught stealing paper towels out of the kitchen or any other reason you can come up with.

Both the Mustain and Arellanes things have occurred this week, according to sources. Is the overlap confusing? Yes and no. Where we’re at right now, according to multiple sources, is Mustain turned it down and Arellanes is building a potential staff in case he takes it. Again, that’s according to sources. • Jeremy

    Aram,

Im glad to see you’re back! Thrilled in fact. Welcome home!

Try not to get defensive. That’s what I like about you compared to… well, you know who, you’re usually laid back. My gosh, that other ‘guy’ gets evil.

    Wilson people,

Stop posting as LA people and airing dirty rumors, laundry, and rumors (myths and old truths); you got your a– kicked last year with all the ungrateful transfers in tow. Live with it!

    LA People,

Stop airing the dirty laundry. You already chased Mendoza out the door, along with two others.

    Jhykron,

    Where are you?

    Garcia,

    Two words. Step down.

    LA Administration,

I know what you’re trying to prove. You’re closing open enrollment due to 1) the legal issues; it’s called policing the campus! 2) to totally seperate your “new direction” from the Gano era; in other words, the recruiting. The athletes started to leave and overall disapear during the last two ( I say three/four) years due to his practices.

Let me tell you this. EVERYONE recruits! No program worth its salt sticks exclusively with the kids living down the road. Even in the old days of DeSpain. Its called “auntie mae’s address”; however, I am NOT condoning recruiting Juniors and Seniors. That is what you need to get away from. That is what you need to show the parents of the athletes. You need to asure them that four years of loyalty will mean something. Especially, if they are willing to “travel”.

P.S. Don’t bad mouth Aram! Remember what we’ve had to put up with while he was gone.

  • Coaching

    Aram,

Have you ever heard of an AD calling coaches and basically offering them the job over the phone, like Garcia is doing? Garcia has called at least four different coaches and offered them the job. Since you are getting this information from multi sources we have to assume it is accurate. Mustain is an interesting one; he has head coaching experience, lives in Whittier, well respected and is a proven coach.

  • The Arellanes Story

Not sure but is Arellanes currently the Head Coach @ Northview and if he is how are the Northview Administration taking this? If Los Altos is putting their kids behind the get ready for next season eight ball doesn’t Northview have to go thru the same process if Arellanes does indeed opt out?

I did some research on Jim Arellanes and he’s an incredible story. The Mid Valley guys brought him in for an interview and he’s quite the man/story.

Given the Steve Clarkson talk recently it was refreshing to see him recount his football history. A three sport athlete who never played football until his Freshmen year at El Rancho where he played DE he got a chance to play QB his Soph year behind another Soph starter who gets hurt the first game of the year. Jim steps on and lights it up the next three years.

Only Northern Arizona comes calling so he reshirts there and leaves to a JC knowing the starter, one year ahead of him would limit his time. Throws for 4000 yards on year and gets 13 offers settling on Fresno St. Same thing happens there and he battles the starter his first year as both endure injuries and Jim goes big time against Hawaii in the season ending game, enough to be the full time starter his senior season.

Jim gets drinks of what in NFL Europe and in Arena Football throwing for good % and good TD/INT ratios and over 1500 yards n one season. Guys solid and has a career most guys would be proud of. Not bad for a kid from El Rancho who never picked up a football until his freshmen year and never palyed QB until he was a Soph.

So all the talk about Arellanes not being solid or qualified is incredibly comical. Obviously the man knows football, understands the game and has proven himself on the field…in fact is he the most accomplished former player who actually coaches football in these parts? Seems like it from what I can see. I know the BA guys have huge NFL and college experience but none are HCs.

Arellanes you’ve had a hell of a run…best of luck in whatever you do! No wonder Oscar Robles was playing way over his head…great job there as well.

  • Wilson Parent

    Jeremy,

Come on that is weak, all the LA parents are on the blog complaining, you want everyone to believe that it is Wilson Parents, weak. Was it a Wilson parents that quoted Garcias promise he made at the LA football banquet. So you think LA parent are happy with the talk about hiring the 1-9 Arellanes after what they were told by Garcia. You don’t think the LA parents are pissed off, well I know they are. Youre like the third LA blogger trying to blame it on the Wilson parents. Joe Conqueror came on here saying the same thing. The two of you haven’t been on this blog for months why all the sudden, did Garcia send the two of you for damage control, because its too late.

  • Sgt. Schultz…”I KNOW NOTHINNNGGG !!!”

Wilson Parent aren’t you proving their argument? You seem to know allot for someone who isn’t at the school…”anymore”. Up to your old tricks again are you?

Dude, let it go. Be happy you transferred and people there haven’t seen the other side of you. Oh and put a steak on that kid’s plate once in a while.

  • Ya right from LA

Pete Gonzales may have applied for the job, but his reputation will not allow him to get this job. I know for a fact that he has lost most of his coaches from last year and others before that. The DC from last season walked after the Schurr game because of Pete`s game playing. Pete was once a hot commodtiy, but not anymore, just a has been with to many skeleton`s in the closet.

    P.S.
    GO AWAY LITTLE MAN!

  • wilson parent

Just maybe we read the blog.

  • confirm

I’ve heard a few sources that say Bobby Godinez has interviewed and may be in line for this Job. He’s a guy who would create a high level of interest around town. Aram, do you know anything about this?

  • Another Wilson Parent

    Sgt. Schultz…”I KNOW NOTHINNNGGG !!!

Dude, the schools are only a few miles apart, and the kids that once played together as freshman in ’08 still communicate with each other (for the most part) via Myspace, Facebook, and texting, etc… So, there’s very few “secrets”, or dirty laundry that’s not known between both schools.
And as far as the Wilson qb’s dinner plate? Maybe he, and the LA qb should be exchanging meals at a neutral site. Because, one’s too fat, and the other’s too skinny. Between the two, though, I’d go with the Wilson kid. He’s got way more heart than the LA qb.

    Jeremy

I think the new Wilson parents (myself included) are way past talking smack about LA, Gano, Felipe, Godinez, Fries, Harrington, and the other drama seekers I may have missed. We are just glad to be out of the zoo that LA has now become. I hope for the kid’s sake, LA can find a new admin, and coach who will at least try to make things better. And if Wilson gets beatdown two more times in my son’s HS “career” by LA, that’s okay too, because in the end, we’re Wilson, not LA.

    Not M.S.

  • Joe Conqueror

    Yo, Not M.S.
The Zoo as you refer to it just needs some new leadership. They have new faces, let see if they see the big picture. Keep school of choice, helps ADA, gives student athlete a legal option. Get rid of the trouble makers rules are in place implement them. If parents threaten to sue tell them to get in line, see Pat Mauchs play book. LA administrator’s: If Los Altos was run like a private school you would have a waiting list of the best student athletes in SGV. Don’t put up with BS, from Teachers, Parent ,students or the School Board. Great location, huge campus, infrastructure is headed in the right direction. Parent of LA: You can be a force to be reckoned with, go to the school board meeting in force and demand your fair share of the pie! Time is right, La Puente and Workman just got put on notice from the state. Go get what is yours, now.
Los Altos has a great heritage the mystique of “CONQUEROR MAGIC” can live again. Our motto is and for ever will be ‘ENGAGE AND CONQUER’ now get your shit together and take control of your futures Its never to late.

    ENGAGE AND CONQUER

  • GET REAL

what about northview? if they lose a coach, who gets the job? will it be open?
    what happend to workman? bassett?
Morrison would be a great fit at Northview.

Los Altos bloggers, face the facts Los Altos was once in the headlines for being GREAT but is now in the headlines for being a run down program with a lady principal who knows nothing about football, an administration who is concerned about API scores, an AD who is lost in space, Boosters who need someone to complain about, parents who have to say there kids/school/team is better than wilson to feel good, and fans who want the OLD LA back.

BAD NEWS, the boat sailed 2 years ago and is not coming back.

At this point, looks like the administraion, AD, principles are FOOLS with their foots in their mouths. They should have been humble, paient and acted as professionals…oops, they didnt..too late
SOmeting was obviously wrong if a PAC 5 coach like Mendoza turns down a school like los altos.

You would have been better off leaving Felipe in. 1 win to 3 wins, upcoming season in new easier league might have been .500 possible playoffs.

But now Arellanas..Morrison..Zane..Godinez etc. etc…THESE GUYS ARE THE REPLACEMENTS?? THE FUTURE OF LA FOOTBALL?? Wilson people have the right to laugh with pity and disgust.

    DESPAIN, GANO, AGUILAR…..??
Felipe is your best candidate if he were to reapply
Felipe-2 time all CIF,D3 colleg player,2 yrs qb/oc coach, 2 yrs varsity coach, knows school/community/players/history.

And people are actually gona root and put a check mark of approval on guys like Arellanas, ZAne, Morrison Godinez??

its a sad day when all that was is in the past and the sun is not rising anytime soon.

Goodluck Garcia and co. trying to clean up the mess you guys created.

Aram so glad to have you back in the SGV.

cant wait till season starts and the pregame meal rituals you have start posting and the thrill of friday nights are back…even if los altos is playing no coach.

  • Cougar

    Get Real…

Felipe was a good high school QB in a system that worked for him at the time..He played less than half a season of football at a D3 School before he “retired” and concentrated on baseball.

A good player doesn’t always equate to a good coach. He has trouble communicating with people outside his circle.

If the LA AD had not burned the bridges with Bobby G he would be a good fit.

They will be left to scramble to put together a staff after the HFC is named.

  • SGV

Bobby got fired from LVL before they even went to 11 man football. His dad getting axed by LA was a mistake. But everyone near the program knows how shady Bobby is. There are guys out there with a helluva lot more experience than Booby. I would try and get Arrellanes, Ackerman, Ted Clarke or even Gil Jimenez before I gave a guy with no 11 man football coaching experience a shot. All you LA supporters this is the same guy that weakened your program by recruiting your kids. Show some pride and move away from this guy.

  • Wilson Parent

Fired and Resigned are two diff things, and I know for a FACT it was not Fired, and I also know for a FACT that Godinez was at PCC last season, which for those of you that dont know is 11 man College Football. And if what i hear is correct Bobby is now at Mt Sac as the Assistant DC, which is also 11 man and the numeber one JC program in the country.
Now do i think Bobby would be the best man for the job, I really couldnt answer that, my son worked out with him as well as my niece and thats the extent of my relationship, but stating WRONG facts is just bad…For the betterment of Hacienda Heights LA needs to hire a coach so the best kids in the area stop goin to Bishop, BOTTOM LINE!

  • Godinez a good fit

Godinez took a defensive assistant job at Pasadena College over a tough situation at LvL. He is at Mt. Sac as a defensive assistant now. That’s is the #1 JC in the country! The guy has played at the D1 college level and a year in the NFL plus Head coaching experience and very good college coaching experience (coordinating I believe). I would’t talk all this trash about a guy that you are only speculating about because his credentials are better than anything LA could even dream about. He would be a great fit and would turn that program around faster than anyone. What does Arellanes know about LA football? Now ask that same question about Godinez, he is a perfect fit. Go hire him if we can!

  • (*) Latinos In The House !

Man when you take the time to research the talent that’s applying or being mentioned to apply it’s still pretty impressive. Seen Bobby Godinez’s highlights and the man could bring the wood. He’s got incredible credentials and anyone who says he doesn’t doesn’t know squat.

I will say a shout out to the Latinos in the House who moved on to the next two levels and did it on their own terms. Arrelanes and Godinez really were impressive players.

Best of luck to both of them.

  • Joe Conqueror

    To SGV,
You are so FOS, Godinez did for LV football program what coach Eric Copper did for their basketball program, he made them legit. Won league and went to the playoffs. Installed great schemes in the O and D and landed big time players. The only reason he left was due to the administration not being able to live up to their obligations. The only thing you could criticize Godinez for at La Vern was that he was to efficient, everything happened to fast and the administration couldn’t keep up. The man can coach and he will bring the same work ethic to LA that he brought to LV, Pasadena, and Mt. Sac. a job by the way he was offered and turned down before he took the La Vern job. To his credit he wanted to BUILD HIS OWN PROGRAM from the ground up. Of all the candidates that Los Altos has interviewed Bobby is the best choice for Los Altos, with out a doubt. I see good times on the horizon for the school with the big LA on the hill.

    ‘ENGAGE AND CONQUER’

  • Coaching

Godinez would be a good fit for LA. Godinez will do whatever it takes to turn that program around, he doesn’t like to lose. That is where the major conflict will start up. Godinez is a great recruiter, how will that sit with school and district administration. That is what makes him such a great head coach, he is a great coaches and a great recruiter. I can’t say that of any other coach in the SGV. The recruiting aspect of his job is the show stopper. Im sure Garcia wants him but I would be surprised if he can sell Godinez to school and district administration, they are monitoring this very closely. They don’t want another Gano, which is interesting because he is worse (better) depending on which side you are on.

  • Cooper Comparison?

Godinez installed great schemes in O and D? It was 8-man football!! Are you comparing one year of Godinez to what Eric Cooper has done? Cooper has won consistently against some of the best teams in the state at a small school. Godinez won a few games in one season in 8-man football.

  • curious

So is playing D1 football for Dick Tomey and spending a little time in the NFL not enough 11man football for you guys? Seriously now he’s showed he can lead a team. Lead a college defense and obviously knows the game. Yes he was a great HS player but it sounds to me the Washington Redskins didn’t think he was half bad either. This 8man argument is irrelevant. If you’ve talked to the guy before then you realize the guy has great command and really knows his stuff.

  • Aaron

    1. I’m not a Los Altos Fan.
    2. Bobby Godinez did not call the defensive signals for PCC, he was the Defensive backs coach. The head coach at PCC is also the Defensive Coordinator.

    3. PCC no longer lists their staff, just their head coach James Kuk. You want a quality head coach I’d look at him. Mt Sac does not list Bobby Godinez on their staff so either the move is quite recent or that’s just smoke signals on the part of some bloggers.

  • (*) Last one like this, I think I made my point, lol

Godinez is a great hire for two reasons. His “training methods” get players to their best possible condition to play the game. Hard to argue with his results in that arena. Secondly Gadinez is a “Defense First” guy having played the position very well that’s usually manned by players 4 inches taller and 25 lbs heavier. Again you can not turn a program quicker than with solid, hard hitting and well schemed defensive methods. This is Football gentlemen and in Football the team that hits the hards, plays the smartest and is the most well conditioned is the most feared. Nice to know some Offensive guru will light up the sky but when it comes down to it defense makes Alumi and Boosters happy because they see the effort, the heart and the commitment in the players. Remember Tom Laundy, Don Shula, Bill Parcells and others were Defensive Guys first and foremost. Bill Walsh type guys don’t come around every day.

Arrellanes is a great hire as well but he’s only as good as his QB was and once Oscar Robles graduated…well he did go 1-9 and that’s almost as hard to do as going 9-1.

  • Joe Conqueror

To Aaron; no smoke, just the facts Mame,
was at Pasadena now at Sac.

To Copper Comparison; The comparison is simple, went from a non existent program to legit as soon as either walk on campus.

To Coaching; He will be a great recruiter, winning is the only thing that recruits players and he will win!!!

Nice story on Arellanes, would like to know what the teams at the Ranch and Rosemead did when he was there. I know LA beat the ranch several times in the playoffs when El Rancho was at their best.Plain and simple, I would never hire a guy that went 1-9 any where. The top reasons why Godinez would be better fit for LA than Arellanes are not who was a better player rather who knows better what Los Altos Football is all about. Same reason Hag’s and company are great for Amat, Godinez is good for Los Altos. Saw fist hand during the Despain and Gano eras what it took to have a winning program.

Cut the crap on he recruited kids from LA to La Verne, the players that left LA were leaving before Godinez ever talked to La Verne about taking over their football program.

It wont surprise me if the powers that be hire the wrong guy. If so good luck to them and Arellanes they will need it but I wish them the best.

  • Joe Conqueror

FUBAR; The powers that be at LA had an opportunity to go back to the future by hiring Godines. By hiring Arellanes they will stay on the path they are on, the won to no where. The guy has probably never even heard the term ” CONQUEROR MAGIC” sad, sad, sad.

  • Let’s build a staff…you know…like LEGOS !!!! lol

    Here’s a staff

Arrellanes Head Coach. …allows him to get job security for his family and gives him the higher profile job he clearly craves.
Godinez DC …allows him to move “up” when the call comes, helps the kids with training and solidifies the biggest problem for any team- stopping the other team from scoring. Plus as a former Safety I’m pulling for the guy!
Morrison OC man knows offense and could really work well with Arrellanes who’s a former stud QB to Morrison who was a stud WR. Allows Morrison “time” to get another HC job while learning the Public School game seeing as he’s a Private School guy and those jobs are off the table for awhile.

There’s a nucleus for a staff and the reasons why. As far as the other assistant jobs, all these men bring something to the table and maybe seeing as all are at crossroads in their careers all will be motivated to succeed so the people they “bring” won’t be Dads and Grads.

Anyone else want to build a better staff?

  • LeopardsSpots

    Joe Conqueror

“Cut the crap on he recruited kids from LA to La Verne, the players that left LA were leaving before Godinez ever talked to La Verne about taking over their football program.”

You’re an idiot if you think anyone is going to believe that.

Not only was Bobby recruiting out of his training “office” on Tetley behind 7-11, his old man was doing his share, right on LA’s own practice field. I remember when one of the dads (of one of the better players) told me they were transferrring up to LVL to play ball. For the life of me, I couldn’t figure that one out, until I heard that Bobby was taking over the reins, and then everthing fell into place.

With LA’s new “moral” position on recruiting, I don’t see it working out with Bobby.

  • Conq4Life

That would be a good staff. Except I dont see it happening for two reasons. First Arrellanes calls his own offense so that leaves Morrison out. Morrision should look at Northview now. And the second reason is I just can’t see Arrellanes hiring Godinez. Two totally different personalities. And the jury with Bobby is still out. I know he is popular with many LA fans (and bloggers) but whatever happened between he, his dad and LA is still a sore spot with a lot of people. Why would Arrellanes hire a guy he beat out for the job? Why would a guy want to be DC at a school that didn’t want him as the HC? And if things are rough for a while on the field… how long is it going to take before people want Booby to take the reins from Jim? Too many chiefs and not enough indians. It works at schools were guys are content being coordinators/assistants or they are the next in line kind of thing. A new head coach with a guy that wants to move up the ladder quickly can be difficult. Ted Clarke formerly of San Dimas, would be an awesome choice as DC.

  • Joe Conqueror

    to Leopard spots:
You will never here me on this or any site say, I heard from this kids dad that his cousin heard so and so say blah blah blah. If I post it is first hand knowledge or my opinion and not here say. I personally know both families that you allege were recruited by Godinez to go play for him at LV. I know when they made their decision to leave LA and I know that Bobby applied for the La Verne job long after. I can see how it might appear to some ass that doesn’t know these facts could be confused. So why don’t you do your self and everyone that reads you BS a favor and leave you gossip and bullshit off the blogs.

  • LEGO PROJECT

    Conq 4 Life

Morrison was a good WR so maybe he’d be good as a position coach coupled with Jim’s knowledge of complex passing philosophies I thought it might work. That was my suggestion although I wrote OC because LA is a firestorm of drama now and Jim might need some fall back when the wins don’t come fast enough and Morrison as the OC gives him and out as far as time. Push it gives Morriosn some public school toe hold on how things are done on that side of teh coaching tracks. Second point to Godinez the man has training knowledge that optimizes their ability quickest, wink wink. He is a good defensive mind and might see LA as a foot stone better than his LVL mess and as I said he’s so temporary if he’s not the main man going either to college or another HS as a HC so it’s a quick fix but ther could be better…hey it’s a LEGO project! lol. As far as getting along, here’s a news flash…very few staffs get along, like each other personally or indeed respect each others knowledge. And by most I mean your average staff. The great staffs are different and the very good ones are somewhere in the middle. Just look at The Greatest Show on Turf, Vermeil and Marx could barely tolerate each other but when they worked it was magic!

My two cents puts Garrison back in a Head Coaching gig at maybe TC. If Morrison takes the Northview gig wouldn’t it be in line with what I originally said. That he’d be better at a school like Bassett or Pasadena. A school which tons of minorities and short budgets. I just think that fits him right now after stints at glamour schools like Marin Catholic and Damien. Sometimes “heavy lifting” is good for the soul. Hey it worked for Smolin!
