Nebraska makes offer to Whittier Christian DL Jeff Worthy …

Move over SMU, Nebraska has offered Whittier Christian defensive lineman Jeff Worthy, according to Rivals.com.

Aram’s take:
I think it’s a pretty good sign that you have schools as far away as SMU and Nebraska making offers to Worthy. It’s not just your usual Pac-10/MWC teams. How much further east could the offers come from? Needless to say, it’s still awfully early, but Worthy should get his share of Pac-10 love, too, if he wants to stay out here.

WOW! As if Worthy needed any further validation that he is the real deal. Congratulations.

Congrats to JW. And don’t worry, the PAC-10 knows all about him.

    Congrats
Nebraska is huge they don’t come out to So Cal unless its very important.I would take the offer as Nebraska is on a roll like USC was 7 or 8 years ago.The PAC 10 is on a little down slide anyway. The only team that would be a good fit for this kid would Stanford in the PAC 10 for the next for years.

He is the real deal! it’s just too bad that this paper only talks about the kids from La Habra all the time! try not to back padel too much daily news sports writers,.

This kid has a motor like Howie Long. Would have been fun seeing him play at Nebraska back when they had Grant Wistrom, the Peters brothers and Jared Tomich. Of course, he may be able to help the Big Red get back there. Lincoln is awesome for college football players who love football.
    What are Jeff’s SAT scores?

The Dog Soldier called it 3 years ago on OCVarsity.com. Good work Jeff, and congratulations to you and your family. We’ll be coming out to see you for your WC finale this fall.

In regards to “Lee Roy Jones” comment – what do all you arrogant morons at LHHS have to say now. Does WCHS still play 8-man football? No, they play FBS football in a BCS conference.
