  • Stang!!!

big game tomorrow ….. Muir vs Jserra…… Let’s Go Stang!!!

  • Aaron

    Schweet Audible!

Nice to know things can always be fluid. The pools I saw Tuesday had Gabrielino where Maranatha is and Workman where Beverly Hills is. Might be a good change but I think that also says a lot about all four schools. Good update.

  • New York

Pool 5 could be interesting with Pomona and Colony. Could be a good place for a reporter…

  • ELAC Passing League

Does anybody have any info on the passing league tourney at ELAC today, and tomorrow?

I heard there was supposed to be over 30 schools attending.

  • Aaron

Pomona played with a big chip on their shoulder today and ended up fourth. Bonita went 2-2, did good against Santiago, lost by eight and then lost the last game to Canyon.

Walnut’s Aubrey Coleman got into it with a Chino Hills kid, basically cleared both reserves. Stopped play for about ten minutes after…Chino Hills ended up moving their kids fifty or so feet back.

    Aaron,

I don’t like what I’m hearing about Coleman this summer. He’s a great, great talent, but I’m hearing too many things about fights and what not.

    Thanks for the info!

  • GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT

    @Aaron,

The fight did not begin with Aubrey. The fight began when a LB from Chino Hills threw down Walnut’s slot receiver to the ground and hit in the face. The receiver got up and defended himself.

That’s when both teams came in and defended each others players. So before you say it was Aubrey maybe you should get your facts straight!

That’s the problem with reporting. Both sides were not innocent when it came to play. They both talked thrash to each other. It was also escalated because it was a close game.

    @Aram,

I would like to think you’re better than just hear say.

  • http://same Red Devil

    How did Pomona look overall?

  • Claremont observer

    @Aaron,

I was there and saw the whole incident, from 15 yards away. Walnut was on the three about to score, C.H. backer puts W back on the ground and keeps him there. W back takes exception and throws first punch. Several players exchange blows, Coleman comes in late with a cheap shot, C.H. retaliates. It looked like Coleman was trash talking all tounament and he picked the wrong team. I can only blame the Walnut coaching staff, it seemed like they were encouraging that type of aggressiveness.

  • Aaron

    Fact man,

Say what you want, I saw the scuffle after it began, not at the beginning. It’s hard to mistake Aubrey Coleman who at 6’5″ is a physical specimen. The thing escalated…what should have happened was that the players originally involved stopped, however, it did not.

All I have to say is that I hope Aubrey straightens up and flies right

  • Claremont Stupidity

Sorry but Claremont observer you’re talking out of both sides of your mouth. Was it a “cheap shot” to keep the Walnut player down? Now the punch for being “pushed” down is “taking exception”? Now the “retaliation” is wrong but the “initiation” is just “boys being boys”? Come on.

Let’s put pads on and stop the BS. Besides why is CH “picking” on Walnut of all people. Pretty stupid all around but that’s what happens when it’s 100 plus and parents still want to see kids go at it instead of calling it a night…or better yet, having the event at night when it’s cooler.

  • http://www.insidesocal.com/sgvfootball Aram

    GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT,

I don’t think it’s hearsay when a pattern has developed. This isn’t the first or second time this summer I’ve heard about an incident with Aubrey involved. I hope that for his sake he chills out. I would want him to be remembered for being the freak that he is on the football field, not a hot head.

  • I WAS THERE

    Claremont observer:

I’m sorry, I have to disagree with your observation. I was right there and in no way did any of the Coaches from encourage that type of temperament! If anything, I saw them discourage it, inciting a lack of respect for the game.

But its clear you probably have emotional ties to this situation rather, then a clear head. But someone who is neither a Walnut or Chino Hills advocate witnessed the situation clearly and there was no display of disrespect from the either Coaching staffs.

Instead players from both sides were talking thrash to one another!

  • Aaron

What’s different about this tournament is that there was a third place game out of three I’ve been to this summer.

Crespi beat Santiago for the championship. Interesting today…Claremont was the number one overall seed and got knocked into the Consolation bracket by Palmdale (WC), and then got knocked out of play by Canyon Country Canyon.

Chino Hills lost by two to Santiago, interestingly yesterday Bonita lost by eight to Santiago. We then had a horrible game against Canyon.

    Results:
    1. Crespi
    2. Santiago
    3. Chino Hills
    4. Etiwanda

    Consolation: Muir beat Crescenta Valley.

    DEAR UPLAND:
I have been to many passing comps and football games and never have witnessed as many Pompis Big headed jerkoffs as I witnissed today coming from the Parents of Upland?? I thought we are all here for the boys? Why must we make disrespectful comments to the boys playing? We saw and a heard a Big topless thing in the endzone that looked like he forgot his girdle and Bra yelling his kid was the best and nobody can stop him?? He was screaming they dont lose?? It was a pretty nasty site and we had the characters from King of the Hill (the FOOTBALL GURUS) who claim they know everything about every player but it seems they just know every flavor of Beer….Can we just watch the kids play and not shout at the kids I have a ring and you dont? WOW that actually came from a parent, haha all i know is I witnessed UPLAND going home early today and the best team won! IM TALKING THIS YEAR NOT LAST YEAR….

  • bmteducator

Aram, I recently wrote about some things I witnessed at Walnut on Freddy’s blog. As for those who believe that the Walnut coaching staff seems to encourage this behavior, I have also witnessed Walnut players, specifically Coleman, demonstrating really poor behavior on the field, while the coaching staff stood idle. Cursing out members of the coaching staff, stomping off the field, and now another very public incident at the Wolfgang Challenge. It is shameful that a school with the tradition of sportsmanship that plays in a stadium named after Dr. Ken Gunn has garnered such attention this summer.

  • Coach

Have to say I have observed incidents involving Walnut in multi 7on7′s. I assumed these incidents were due to their first home 7on7′s, and show boating to their home crowd. The word around the school is this team has been put together with players from out of their attendance area. Rowland unified school district is currently sueing Walnut due to their tactics used to pull STUDENTS into their district. Well you can only assume where the high school is pulling their PLAYERS from. Yes, I am using my words politicly correct.

  • what a douche!

    Gee “COACH” you’re every where!

  • U-HIGH

Claremont Spectator i hope you are not a Claremont fan. They are not in our League any more.Couldn’t play real football with the big boys.Yeah Real football not 7 on 7 touch. As for our RING we earned it.

  • Baseline League Fan

    U-HIGH:
As I recall, Claremont was tied with Upland in the 4th quarter of their game last season. That game was to determine who made the playoffs. But I guess that’s not playing “real football”. I guess you don’t respect your opponents. That’s a great thing to teach young men.

  • claremont spectator

UR HIGH: Thats all I got to say, you guys are so great , let me bow down with your ring that Chino Hills gave up to you with their 17 point lead at the half, how irresponsible of them to fall asleep at the wheel and not take out the trash…..that wasnt a win it was cherity but savor the flavor WE ARE IN THE 2010 YEAR NOW ARENT WE? You will not come close to playoffs this year i seen your team haha, with your 1 reciever….but hes sooooo tall…better close your windows (here comes another sand storm)….watch out for those tumble weeds! By the way is that ring cubic zirconia?

  • U-HIGH

Claremont Spectator.Hears the deal Upland won CIF because we had the best D-FENCE of all the teams we played. Our D-FENCE is faster and stronger this year.Linebackers are all putting up 300lbs+.And running sub 4.6 40′s.Can’t wait to see are boyz in pads .Lord help all recievers and backs that face them.

  • claremont spectator

R-U -HIGH I think the CHills linemen won the last 2 competitions?? I think ?? you might want to check, and half the CHills offensive go to guys run below a 4.6-40 i think their QB runs faster than that? Besides between getting hammered by (The Nigerian Express), Harris and the 6′+ receivers and dont forget the whiteboy that burnt half your team (Calles) …hahah pick your poison??? I cant wait!! Do your home work because those arent the same Huskies as last year….Respect is earned not by foolish arrogance! I gotta give respect to Santiago atleast they kept it fun and all about the boys…Here comes another tumbleweed (duck)

  • U-HIGH

claremont spectator. Are two bald white boy linebackers will punish your Nigerian Nobody. They just pushed your recievers and the fell back three feet.Your boys are real soft.I’ll give you credit for your line. But your Backs and Recievers are lil boys. One hit and they are done.Maybe in 2012 after are Studs leave you might have a chance.

  • spectator

U-R HIGH you mean the Steriode Twins? As soon as the CIF passes the new steroide policy they will be riding the bench as a spectator. Ifo has way too much speed for your military nobodies to even catch him. Theres a noseguard that will eat up your little QB for breakfast as well, by the way what colleges are looking at your Roid twins? Besides CITRUS College.

  • spectator

Its called serios mass protine+EGGOLOGY your lil boyz should try it.Oh yeah tell your lil kids they have to hit the gym.Our boys live it it.As for College looking at them Sac State,Fresno,Nothern Az just to name a few.In closing I hope we don’t have to play Chino Hills .Last time we were there we got attacked by flys. And it Stinks there. How can you stand it.You should act like the cows in your backyard and mooooove.

  • spectator

U-R HIGH your a joke! sac state?? what is that? you dont want to talk about real estate with all your vacant homes turned meth labs and you 150 mph winds, you have to strap your trash cans down. Go plant some grass in your rock gardens with cactus. You wish you lived up there in Chino Hills, thats the money you smell… Roids dont give speed maybe if our boys stand still they can hit them. whats the unemployment and forclosure rate in upland? Go collect your guvmnet cheese!
