Charter Oak awaiting further tests on QB Santiago; Thropay to start vs. Santa Fe …

There’s no timetable for Charter Oak junior quarterback Travis Santiago’s return to action because there’s still no official diagnosis.

Santiago injured his ankle on the second-to-last play in Charter Oak’s loss to Rancho Cucamonga last Friday. The team’s doctor believed he broke it, but an emergency room doctor said there was break, but there could be a hairline fracture.

Santiago will have further tests this week. Meanwhile, senior Josiah Thropay will start vs. Santa Fe on Friday. Charter Oak has a bye the following week and then opens Sierra League play with Ayala, which is currently undefeated.
