It’s hard to top ’03 Los Altos over O-Lu, but WestCo’s win over Bonita may be the best game I’ve ever seen …

OK, it’s probably not better than the LA-O-Lu epic at CORRECTION: Home Depot Center in ’03, but Friday’s Southeast Division championship was CERTAINLY one for the ages. Congrats to Mike Maggiore’s Bulldogs!

And congrats to Eric Podley’s Bearcats! Absolutely no shame losing like that. Bonita played like champs tonight.

(Only reason it’s not the better than LA-O-Lu is because of the sloppy play/turnovers).

What a great night. Fans of both schools showed up in force and Walnut was ELECTRIC!

Both teams played a HECK OF A GAME!! Congratulation to the Bulldogs! To the Bearcats, you played a heck of a game and you did leave it all on the field! I am proud of all of you young men! You made Bonita and the city of La Verne very proud!

Great game, congrats to the Bulldogs!

What poor sportsmanship by the annoucers of the game. Never a peep from them when West Covina did something.

When West Covina scored the final touchdown nothing but crickets from the ‘announcers’.

I was telling my daughter tonight who was with me at the game that this was one of the best games I have seen in a long time. After the coaches pep talk towards the end of the 3rd WC came out fired up. The WC players on the sidelines getting the fans going was cool too. I’m really happy for WesCo and their program to get the championship. I would not be surprised if they repeated next year. It WAS one heck of a game.

The 2003 Los Altos win over O-Lu wasn’t at Angel Stadium…It was at the Home Depot Field. The 2002 Los Altos win over Foothill was at Angel Stadium

That 2003 game was a great one too Aram, a last second interception by Daniel Drayton to thwart a come from behind win from Orange Lutheran. Both were games for the ages.

  • Today, I went to the beach with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is completely off topic but I had to tell someone!

  • My brother recommended I would possibly like this blog. He was entirely right. This post actually made my day. You can not consider just how so much time I had spent for this information! Thanks!
