La Puente coach Brandon Rohrer staying put … Is Quinsey in a race by himself for Glendora job?

La Puente head coach Brandon Rohrer has pulled out of the running to become the next head coach at Glendora.

Rohrer, a Glendora alum, was a finalist along with Charter Oak assistant Todd Quinsey after a round of interviews conducted last week. With Rohrer’s defection, that should mean the job is Quinsey’s for the taking.

“I am officially out of the running,” Rohrer said Monday afternoon. “I pulled my name late last week. I’m very excited about what we have coming back at La Puente and part of me feels like our job is still not done.”

“It was getting late in the game. It was about time we pulled our name out. A lot of the credit goes to the administration at La Puente because they wanted to keep us and they’ve done a lot of stuff to help us retain some coaches.”

Aram’s take: It’s looking good for Quinsey, which means it’s looking good for running backs Corey Victoria and Donovan Holmes if Quinsey runs the same style of offense he ran at Northview.
