very well deserved ellis! everyone knew you had it in you from the beginning. you proved it when you put in the hard work! it doesn’t end there though because you have so much more potential in you

  • I wonder

Great Job ! Mtown, please provide for me a list of student athlete”s from Monrovia who signed to play college football in the last 3 years..Why don’t I see any at the Rose Bowl on signing day ? Miguel can you name ANY ? The bigest cover up since watergate…Expose the truth Miguel !! All those athlete’s eligible during the season yet, NO ONE SIGNS ON SIGNING DAY ?? I WONDER…

Congratulations… Ellis McCarthy, for taking it to another level. as for I Wonder, keep wondering. Stay tuned for the next few years. This may be the opportunity to open that can of worms and let the best athletes become known in our community. Until then stay tuned and dont let it get the best of you.

    Pointed at (I wonder):

It appears that either youre an idiot or you have no clue as to how an athlete is awarded DIV 1 scholarship. Please be mindful of what im about to say is not to disparage any kid who has played or is currently playing at MHS.

Just because you get your name pasted in the Pasadena Star News or the SGV Tribune or Aram, Miguel or the guys from Mid Valley sport have a sit down interview with you doesnt mean your a DIV 1 prospect. (I Wonder) The very first requirement of any athlete must have to play DIV 1 is TALENT and this is the first year that MHS has had a DIV 1 talent in quite so time. So (I WONDER) before you try and equate lack scholarships for MHS players to cheating or player eligibility check yourself. Your lack of information or your ignorance is a kin to a jack o latern with no face. Simple put the fact that MHS hasn’t had anyone sign at the Rose Bowl on signing day has nothing to do with GRADES is has everything to do with not having players with DIV 1 talent. One final point I gave my name (I WONDER) be a man and give yours

It’s a combination of talent and size. There are a handful of players in the valley who has Div I talent, but unfortunately they don’t have Div I size.

I never said, D-1! I asked for a list of signers in the last 3 years. You have div.1aa and div.2 who offer full rides or partial money to continue their playing career. What I saw on the field in the last 3 years was amazing and NO ONE gets any offers? Some Div.3 schools will pay what financial aide will not cover. College recruiters ask 3 questions-1. Will he qualify? 2. How is he as a person(character) 3.Is he coach-able ? I never said, Division 1 talent….Where’s my list?? Something is wrong somewhere. Great talent maximized on Friday’s only ? I saw some Saturday athlete’s out their.I WONDER…
