Semi-Breaking News: Snoop Dogg’s sons transfer from LB Poly to Diamond Bar. Corde, a senior, trying for immediate eligibility. Cordell, a freshman, already on the frosh team and could be a very legit WR …

Bow wow wow yippy yo yippy yea, hopefully CIF will let Corde play.

Corde and Cordell Broadus, sons of famous rapper Snoop Dogg, checked into Diamond Bar High School this week after playing football at Long Beach Poly this season.

Corde, who played some special teams this season at LB Poly, is seeking to gain immediate eligibility from CIF. A decision on that won’t be known until after all pertinent paperwork has been filed.

Cordell, a 6-foot-1 receiver, is already on the Brahmas freshman team and could have a big career ahead of him, according to varsity head coach Ryan Maine.

“Once he gets used our system, he’ll probably be the best freshman we have based on his size,” Maine said of Cordell. “He’s really a good respectful kid, too.

“He worked out with us this summer, but Snoop wanted him to go to Poly to see if he liked it, because that’s where he went.”

Cordell attended South Pointe Middle School in Diamond Bar and played in his father’s Rowland Heights-based youth football league.

Aram’s take: Seriously, how did Roddy miss on this one? Uh yeah, anyway, from what I understand, the two brothers have some cousins, but I have no idea if they’re going to call DBHS home anytime soon. If they do, and they can play, there could be a huge coup coming for Maine and his program.

Aram’s next take: I resisted using any “fo shizzle” references because … well, you know. But you have to admit my rhyme under the Snoop photo is legit. I hear Black Moon has an opening at MC.

Aram’s final take: Looking ahead a couple years, we’ll have Noodles from WestCo going against Snoop’s kid (no nickname yet). That would be Compton and Long Beach, by way of West Covina and Diamond Bar, going at it. Yes, the future of SGV football is BRIGHT!
