Glendora LB Skylar Crall rocks dude during last night’s all-star game in Florida (He’s No. 56 in blue) …

Aram’s take:
Crall is becoming less and less under the radar. Hopefully, a scholly is forthcoming.

  • Say What!

You call that a Crack Aram, around my parts that was called a plain ol body tackle. Looked good but not impressive at all.

    Say What,

Around your parts? You mean decapitating someone in a NATIONAL all-star game isn’t impressive to you? You’re just a hater.

  • Jesus Christ

    That looked pretty routine.

Speaking of Routine, i’ll be taking a dump in a few no need to make an article about it.

  • Coach

It’s a good tackle, but a horrible read. Inside backer making tackle 5 yards from the LOS on a designed run play is not “Scholly” material. Get a clue Aram!

  • X’s and O’s

It is a bad read, but given the fact that the other team is in an empty formation and that Crall probably hadn’t had any film sessions prior to this game, it’s somewhat understandable that he played pass first. I would also be curious about the down and distance. Nevertheless, it’s a great tackle. The other stuff can be fixed.

  • Wow

    Kid is a stud!!

  • Videoman

No matter what you clowns think of the hit, being in the top 92 out of 2,700 players to try out for the game says something. The kid can play.

  • Everybody is entitled to their opinion. And opinions can often be harsh. But I think there’s something redeeming about a kid like Crall, who is scratching and clawing his way up from obscurity to get on some people’s radars. When was the last time an SGV kid went to Florida to play in an all-star game all in the name of improving his stock. Pretty interesting stuff … how some of you can’t root for this kid is beyond me.

  • Aram Fan

Aram you are so right about having an opinion. Couldn’t agree more, how ever,we have a scouting guru in our midst, at our disposal, so how do local kids like Garrett Horine and Skylar Crall still havee to “make a name for themselves” and “have to crawl their way up from obscurity” ?

I have a simple ruke when it comes to who to help and who to not help and it rarely has anything to do with talent or ability to pay for special “what ever”. What I want to know is simple, “How bad do you want it.” Clearly Crall and Horine want it bad and obviously they have the size and ability to back it up, so why no attention?

Baffling isn’t it considering how much attention other athletes get yet don’t really fit the bill or really truly want to be anything more than a great high school player, no shame in that.

So many bloggers talk about what a D1 athlete looks like yet Crall and Horine are getting no love and Santiago is getting looks from UCLA????? No disrespect to Santiago but APU is about as far as he’ll go when you have so many 6’4″ “safe” bets out there.

Aram doesn’t it surprise you that no one on the blog really knows much about who’s the best players are and why? Reminds me of Mark Mendrun who was supposedly getting looks from Boise State yet went to the University of San Diego and was converted to a flanker. Doesn’t that tell you Boise State probably would have doen the same thing?

Trust me when I tell you this Aram no player in the East San Gabriel Valley has more up side than Garrett Horine yet…but what do I know right? Seems more and more DBs are of the 6’1″ range he’s 6’3″ or better and can be converted much easier.

BTW, the guru never once mentioned which players he “found” in the past six year that weren’t on every one radar. Heck even Ray Charles could “see” a Ellis Mc Carthy.
