Aram’s take:
Most teams start spring ball on May 7. If you’re a fan who wants to see how your team looks, but you’re bored with watching them running around and do drills in spring practice, then passing games are for you. We can all overreact together. It will be fun and it gets started VERY SOON. I hear Chino Hills is going to be a powerhouse, so I’m very excited to see how the Huskies look. Also excited to get a first look at Noodles and where West Covina will be using him. The best matchup of the day, if we get it, would be to see Chino Hills WR Jack Austin go against Rancho standout corner Chris Hawkins. VERY NICE!

626 Represent!!!! This has got nothing to do with anything, but it does say “There’s traditional rivalries between high schools that started back when there was some white dudes” …

Aram’s take: “She’s Chinese but her mom’s from Vietnam.” Best line in the entire in the vid. Anyway, since most of us have some Monterey Park ties along the and I stayed there for nearly 10 years, this video hit home. And yes, I’ve eaten at most of these places. These guys did a GREAT JOB! Hope they do more and more.

Sources: Kurt Scoby doesn’t check in at Duarte, appears headed to Monrovia …

Running back Kurt Scoby, who recently checked out of Charter Oak, did not enroll at Duarte on Monday as previously expected by Duarte coach Jason Martin, according to two sources.

Scoby is reportedly headed to Monrovia, according to two other sources.

Scoby was to officially become enrolled at Duarte on Monday, the first day after the school was back from spring break, but that reportedly did not happen, according to the sources.

Aram’s take: Around we go. Stay tuned because where this train stops, nobody knows. It’s safe to say Scoby-to-Duarte is in doubt right now. But you never know. He could wind up there after all. There could be quite a battle at RB for the Wildcats with Scoby and Covina transfer Gevontray Ainsworth. If, M-Town gets these two, well, I want say WATCH OUT, but WATCH OUT!
