UPDATE: Eight players at Blair practice on Wednesday morning …

UPDATED: I was having trouble with a file transfer, so I had to run home and get my camera. When I returned to Blair, there was eight players at practice (by my count). Up from seven earlier this a.m. I also spoke with coach Johnny Lopez, who told me they have more players than what I saw there, but they were at UCLA(?) and some other places. I was skeptical and told Coach Lopez as much. Listen, Coach Lopez seems like a good guy in a tough spot. He’s definitely trying to do the right thing. But Blair is so far behind the rest of the area in terms of preparation, that you wonder about safety. Think about the things this team has missed — spring ball, summer passing, weight room. Not good. And now they can’t even field a starting 11 to give the air a look. It just seems more practical and safe to have a JV team instead of varsity. Of course if 10 more guys show up, things may be all right, but still there’s a ton of preparation time to make up for and football is a contact sport. The less prepared you are, the more likely you are to get hurt.

I decided to drive by Blair this morning and take a look for myself after hearing from player parents on Tuesday that only six kids attended practice that morning.

I counted seven eight players on Wednesday morning. Three linemen-types and four skill players (at least that was the type of drill they were running).

As reported yesterday, new head coach Johnny Lopez has stated that he does have a roster big enough to field a varsity team. But Lopez would not give a specific number or even an estimate as to how many players are in the program.

From what I saw Wednesday, Blair is not even close. Granted, there’s a slight chance that other players were in the weight room or doing film study. But what was on the field on Wednesday is not enough.

Aram’s take: This situation really needs to be escalated. It’s time Blair and Pasadena Unified school officials start getting real about the prospects of not having a varsity team this season. The Vikings’ first game is Aug. 24 against Hoover. If the school officials are holding out hope of having a varsity team despite the reality that the current numbers present, then they are doing a disservice to any players who want to transfer (especially seniors) and play somewhere this season.

  • Bulldogs have bite

    Aram,

What?! You doing practice ambushes already?! Let’s see the vid!

  • Green pastures aka “El Gato Monte”

Those Parents, need to make a move quick. I am sure Muir and PHS wouldn’t mind having 7 more players to add to the ranks, or even Mtown, if they want to drive. There is no time to waste for these kids. No way a kid should miss their Jr or Senior year behind this gross procrastination. Blair normally has about 5-6 guys who can play and have size. They just play for a school and district which has not intentions of improving their Athletics. That’s what Dena people have wrote. I hope these parents should be in the school AD’s faces. Blair should not hold these kids hostage. They should Make a official decision, and cut these kids loose. CIF won’t enforce the 30 day rule. This story was broke here, but it’s in other papers too..

  • New York

Maybe the coach meant he had enough for 8-man football.

Isn’t South Pasadena HS just a couple blocks away? Just transfer to SouthPas. No need to drive all the away across town to the other schools. It’s sad that Blair and Monrovia were co-champs in 2007, and Blair made the second round of the playoffs.

  • Safety Issue

The school and district needs to do what is right for the kids. Sending them out to play when they don’t have the numbers or not ready is hazardous in many ways. Scrap the varsity program this season and regroup for next year. Concentrate on bettering the Freshmen and JV program. Have the foresight not to wait for something catastrophic to happen before regretting your decision to let them play.

  • 8 man

Dont they already play 8-man football? What else would he have meant?

Looks like Monrovia is one step closer to 10-0 – Congrats on a BIG league win.

  • Give the guy a chance

    Aram
I think you need to give this new coach at least a couple of weeks to see if he can rally the troops and get enough kids out on the field. I know, “what about the kids that might want to transfer” but on the other hand “what about the kids that don’t want to transfer for academic reason” and still want to play football? (believe it or not there are still kids out there that consider themselves student/athletes)with that said, lets give the new guy some time. Most fall camps don’t open until sometime around Aug 2nd (for zero week games) and a week later for teams that open with week 1 games.

  • New York

    8 man,
Is Schurr considered “8 man”? Didn’t Schurr win Division 7 in 2006, beating La Habra and Santa Fe in the process? Not many teams in the SGV have beaten La Habra since then.

The reality is that the Mid-Valley has some very weak teams within its leagues. However, the fact that only two teams from each league are guaranteed playoff births creates some pretty good brackets.

Also, while you are taking jabs at Monrovia’s win column, why don’t you post some of the signature “big” wins from some of the other local teams. We all know of the losses to big-name teams, but how many big wins are there? I will gladly give credit where it is due. Bishop Amat owns a hanful of victories against big programs. Who else does?

  • Greenie Cat Vs Hater with 20 screen names and counting….

Monrovia does play 8 man football, and 5 of those players are going D1.

    New York,
my guess “8man” is a notorious Amat Blogger, who has been stalking me on every thread. This guy is a spineless, gutless, Troll blogging idiot, who totally tried to trash Brett Walsh’s Commitment to Northwestern. You can spot him a mile away from his cowardly post, never saying what he wants to say directly. It’s always a side jab, sneak attack, or sucker punch. Aram Said it, this blog is going soft. If you are going to trash another team, at least speak on your team, and what they have done. Instead of the mystery post filled with jealousy and hate. Instead of posting something that had any type of insight on the situation, he makes fun of serious situation, and takes jabs at 8 players who decided to show up no matter how bad it looks, or what people say. I would love to have those 8 players at my school. They have a lot of heart, to wake up and go to practice. I hope Blair can pull it together. I have always had respect for their team. Their 18 players show up every Friday night.

    Bulldogs Have Bite,

No practice ambushes yet, although I guess you could technically say this was.

But the types you’re referring to are usually fun and exciting, but this one was very somber for me. I hate to see any local program not field a team and that’s where Blair is headed. I feel bad some of these kids won’t get to play under the lights and a school may lose the greatness that is the spectacle of Friday night lights. But I don’t want to see any kids get hurt because of lack of preparation.

I saw Blair teams in the mid-80s and ever since. This just bums me out how times have changed.

  • STATS!

    @New York,
Really? You want to play Blair this year knowing their situation? Tell the truth, do you want to play them for the competition “their eighteen players showing up every Friday night” or just so your players can have more inflated stats against another cream puff? I question the intelligence of college recruiters who recruit these players. Do they just recruit base on eye ball test so they can meet their quota? I honestly don’t see how anyone can watch film of Monrovia players playing the likes of Temple City, South Pasadena, Blair, San Marino, and say to themselves, “Man, my program really needs to have that player, he is faster than all the other turtles and bigger than all the other cross country runners.”

Since Blair is in talent rich Pasadena, blair is going to have a few studs roll through there. Ask Coach Hags and Lou,…they love them some dena players…chin check…

@Weenie Cat vs Non Bias Observers with only 1 screen name,
Looks like I touched a nerve. What does your link have to do with anything? Blair had one player noticed by the NFL, great. How does your argument with the link and calling me ignorant to college recruiting nullify Monrovia players stats are inflated due to a cream puff schedule? As to your previous post, please speak English so everyone can understand you, I don’t speak Monrovish. My school will kick your a$$ if we played. That will be like a Ferrari racing a Prius, I don’t have to brag or pound my chest because there is nothing to brag about beating up on a cream puff.

  • Bulldogs have bite

    Aram,

I understand what you’re saying. But I don’t feel bad for these 8 kids out there. I feel inspired by them. These are a handful of young men who are out there working their tails off for a chance to play High School Football! And these guys are doing it despite the fact that it may all be for not. If some of these Blair kids are watching this vid or reading this blog, ask yourself why you are letting your fellow classmates have all the fun? Get out there and join your childhood lifelong friends and play some ball!

I’m pulling for these guys, I’m sure all of us are.

  • New York

Scouts recruit more based on the “eye-ball” test than they do on yardage and tackling stats. But the eye-ball test is: height, potentially shoe-size to gauge weather or not there is more growth expected, frame to gauge their potential to add “good” weight, etc. The eye-ball test is not how a kid does against Blair.

If scouts recruited based on level of competition, then West Covina and Charter Oak would have more D-1 prospects than Monrovia this year. But that’s not the case.

Are you really on here telling college scouts how to do their jobs?

Not that you deserve an answer, but NO I do not want Monrovia to play Blair. My response was to your jab that Blair is playing 8-man football as part of the Mid-Valley. My response was not an argument that playing Blair is an accomplishment. If anything, I am concerned about injuries when Monrovia plays Blair. A Monrovia wide receiver might get injured by a Monrovia Offensive lineman pushing a Blair d-lineman 10 yards downfield.

Playing in the Rio Hondo League typically stunts Monrovia’s growth as a team. That’s probably why Monrovia had the slow playoff start against Covina, but we got rolling as we got challenged more throughout the playoffs.

  • New York

I meant the slow playoff start against Pomona, not against Covina.

Also, I am still awaiting the long list of marquee victories by local teams since you are on here suggesting that the MidValley is 8-man football. Please share your list of local programs and their big-time victories.

    Bulldogs have bite,
Great post! You are exactly right. These guys have the potential to be a great inspirational story. Guys who are playing for any number of reasons including pride and love of the game.

Stats notice? You mean drafted…my link is on point. With your imposter costume on, you trash lower level football, but it seems to me in the SGV, the lower level Guys from the southeast and midvalley are getting noticed the most by college scouts. This thread is not about upper or lower divisions. It’s about 8 kids and counting who want to play. I want them to have team regardless. Since you want to diss them… name one player from what ever school you rep, that was drafted and currently playing in the NFL in the last 5 years. Watch you try to say you rep La Habra or West Co lmao your a joke. I know you won’t post, because you enjoy going from thread to thread pretending to be someone. If people come in here and talk about what Amat hasn’t done lately, not sending anyone to college, not sonce whenever – you have to state recent successes not someone who played in the same era as Eric Bieniemy

    Safety Issue,

“What these kids are doing would be very inspirational if this was a movie. But in reality, this is varsity football. Other teams and players are coming to knock their heads off and won’t see them as any inspiration.”

It’s not a movie though, it’s their reality and they are facing it head on! Just maybe some of these kids want to knock some heads off too? They are facing an uphill battle for sure, and football can be dangerous for kids on any team at any level of play.

You want to talk about safety issues? What about the influences on the street, when before football was something that kept some of these young men off the streets? At this point if they can find enough players and get enough conditioning in to play this season, even if they go 0-10 and get pummled every game they accomplished something to be inspired by. They committed to something and saw it through regardless of a situation beyond their control.

Now days it is so common and expected for people to be cynical and negetive, but there is a positive side of this story that really makes you want to pull for these kids.

I’ll answer Amat73′s Q&As, the Weenie Cat, transplant New Yorker, and Red Neck Leader try to comprehend:

    1) Not familiar with all the SGV programs to answer this question.
    2) Yes, because I believe most of the scouts are not doing their jobs properly. As proof, how can anyone watch Monrovia play against their level of competition and say “Boy, I want that kid in my Big Ten program or PAC 12 program”. I seen that kid Griffin in passing leagues, he is a perfect example, pass the eye ball test but slow as molasses, stiff as a board, with questionable coordination. You are telling me that kid is going to cover a RB in the PAC 12 coming out of the back field? Okay, good luck Colorado. If we get second and third opinions with doctors and lawyers what makes scouts so special to be excluded? A lot of these guys do need to be replaced.
    3) LB POLY!!!

ENOUGH SAID! Oh, just one other thing, CUPCAKE!!!

  • New York

    STATS,

Ellis McCarthy has ALREADY made a major contribution to UCLA simply with his presence in the 2012 Freshman class. See, his 5-star rating has given UCLA added credibility that will help them recruit other highly rated players. Ellis elevated UCLA the day he switched from Cal. He had elevated Cal on national TV by choosing them over USC and Oregon.

Monrovia really doesn’t do a good job of tracking the progress of our former players who have gone on. we had a punter at Cal a couple years ago, but no-one even knew. We have a kid on Utah’s roster. Wyoming. But again, our focus tends to be on the upcoming season, not on the running list of people playing after high school.

LB Poly? REALY??? Who beat LB Boly recently? I know AMAT beat LB Poly in the 1995 playoffs enroute to their CIF title! Are you an AMAT alumn?

Besides, I’ve already acknowledged that AMAT is the one team with victories over major programs in recent years. We can include Los Altos beating Orange Lutheran in 2003 as well.

Lastly, when I said “scouts” I was referring to the actual college position coaches and coordinators who evaluate prospects before offering them one of a very few scholarships that the school has to offer. It is their job to recruit guys who have the physical tools to come into their system and help their team win and provide those coaches with job security. I’m not talking about someone working for a magazine and hanging out at combines.

  • New York

Oh wait. Are you saying that you are repping LB Poly? Well, they certainly seem to be a dimming star within the Pac-5. They have more talent than anyone, but they sure don’t have more recent playoff success. They seem to have a real tough time with the Orange County power houses these days, and they were never able to beat De La Salle even though LB Poly had a huge talent advantage.

LB Poly plays in the “Rio Hondo League” of the Pac-5. That league does them no good in preparing for playoffs. Quite frankly, LB Poly is like a Pac-5 version of Monrovia. More talent than they know what to do with, and they stumble with teams who are physical up front with good technique. Probably because those other teams realize they need to work hard year-round and never take their eyes off the ball. NO WONDER YOU ARE OBSESSED with Monrovia!

  • AMAT 73

How in the heck do you profess that we try and stop this guy or people like him.Isn’t that the moderators job ???? It would be just as easy for you to ignore him rather then saying he is ruining our good name and continuing your battles with him . Hell I could easily say it’s an M’twn blogger trying to make us look bad but I know better then to do that on a blog where you don’t know who the hell is behind each post. Maybe Aram will out him as he does to a few others who like to post under various names just to light a fire under bloggers. When have you really seen a branded known AMAT honk come out with this type of shit . Yes some do throw the division or who do you or have you played card but mainly when prodded by another blogger. I for one would like to see mandatory regestration and just get back to football talk and jousting on wins and losses from people who have a vested interest in the blog . Like when AMAT if gets whacked by Servite ( disclaimer not my thoughts but the blogs ) or if Monrovia gets whacked by St Francis ( same disclaimer ). Hell if we lose the SGV battles we will play this season , bring it on as we can take it and should by our postings on here ,but to continually have to put up with these gutless wonders with no loyalty to any school or they are afraid to post who their school is , is getting old .
    New York ,
Why not just take it that STATS is a LBP honk . Why even try to tie him to AMAT . Because we beat them in 95 , hell they beat us 2007 or 08 I believe ? Not sure as I try to erase those losses from my archives.

  • New York

    Amat73,
I misread that clown’s post. I thought he was listing LB Poly as a signature win for some SGV team.

What a bandwagoner. LBP!! LOL. That’s pretty far from the SGV. To his credit, at least he/she did not claim Santa Margarita or De La Salle…lol. Actually, what are LBP’s latest signature victories since 2008? They have declined substantially the last three years.

  • Still very good

    NY
Just last year they beat Grant (Sacramento), Narbonne (City Champs), Carson, Lakewood, and Newport Harbor (Pac5 playoffs) – Although not as good as they have been 4 or 5 years ago, still a top team in So Cal and they would blast any team here in the SGV.

  • New York

I acknowledge that LBP is still a tough out…unless you are a top OC team. They are big-time underachievers with that amount of top D1 signees.

LBP got beaten worse by Santa Margarita than Amat did. LBP’s 2011 opponents who they beat averaged 6.9 wins per team, and that average is distorted by Narbonne’s 11 wins.

Grant was 8-4 last year. City Section is City Section. Amat showed us that in the 1992 Reebok Bowl. Newport Harbor is on par with Charter Oak, which is why they were neck and neck in Division 6.

LBP has huge lineman and talented skills. However, their lineman come off the ball slower and higher than the guys from the winning programs. Plus it looks like conditioning is an issue when you compare their body-types to those of the linemen and the winning schools.

Unless LBP gets a new system, I think LBP’s glory days are in the past as long as Welch stays at SM, Thomas stays at Servite, Johnson stays at Mission Viejo. LBP’s talent base will ALWAYS make them relevant, but the Pac-5 playoffs go through a few Orange County factories right now.

  • STATS!

    @Still very good,
Take my advise, don’t bother trying to talk reason with someone like NY, it will go way over his head. Celebrating McCarthy signing as have already helped UCLA is a child’s argument but hey, if that’s all you got to hang your hat on than go ahead and roll with it. Comparing Monrovia to Long Beach Poly again is like comparing a Prius to a Farrari, nothing to pound our chest about beating on a cream puff. Why even argue with someone who is a homer and a band wagoner who knows nothing about football? Anyone who knows football knows Long Beach Poly and Monrovia don’t belong together. It’s like saying Syria is a better country than the United States. There is no comparison, CUPCAKE!!!

  • New York

Willie McGhinest needs to invest in a new coaching staff at LBP, because LBP is yesterday’s news in the Pac-5. With all that talent they should be 15-0 every year. They by far have the greatest number of players in the NFL. HOWEVER, they got smoked in the second round of the playoffs by what is still an upstart Santa Margarita program under Harry Welch. They got smoked worse than Bishop Amat, the team that everyone on this blog seems to dump on. Is Welch the only Southern Section coach to beat De La Salle? We know LBP could not get it done, but Welch got it done at Canyon Country. How many D1 guys did Canyon Country have? DiLuigi? How many did LBP have when they got dismantled by DLS? 7-8 Pac-10 signees…LBP is known for great talent, NOT great football.

Football players, Coaches, Fans and Bloggers should never be scared represent. This thread is about 8 players who are not ashamed or afraid to represent their school. Some, are probably scared they won’t do well. Some, are probably worried they are going to get hurt. Some are probably worried about what people are going to say. Not these 8 players. Out of hundreds of kids…only 8 are up to the challenge. Only 8 are willing to trade the Madden, for a few hours of Fresh air. Only 8 are prepared to push themselves to the limit. Only 8 young men. 8 represents infinity…so as long as 8 are willing to participate, high school football is still alive. Hence, we have 8-man football. Maybe if 11 came out, then they could field a team. Maybe run some plays. After that 15, then 22. Now they can go both ways. That would get things going for sure. 8 is not that far away. These 8 players are the epitome of what high school players should be. 8 is a solid core of captains for any team. These young men are fearless, resilient, and most importantly leaders. If you are representing yourself, family, school, city, and community with all you have, then good things will happen. I hope we all can learn from this story. Who are these kids from Blair? We all should know their names. They all deserved to be followed. Maybe they are good players. Maybe there is another Sean Smith among these 8. If this team makes it to game one, then league, and plays Monrovia. I will salute them. Actually I salute them now. They may not make it to Home Depot in December, but these 8 are smart enough to know …it’s better to have play the game, then to never have played the game at all.

Dan the man,
Thanks for that. I can’t beleive that 2004 MV team was only Division 2. They rolled LBP, who went on to win Division 1. They also rolled De La Salle, Mater Dei, Upland, everyone.

    STATS!,
Who is stealing whose material? I already mentioned LBP’s record number of NFL ballplayers…I utilized that fact to drive home the point that LBP is the most talent rich school in the state/country yet they have not achieved a 15-0 season. In fact, LBP has not made it past the second round since 2008. You all were one and done two years ago!

Certainly no shame in not beating De La Salle…but you all also can not beat Mission Viejo. They own you guys too. Get used to Santa Margarita pushing you around also. It will be like Mater Dei in the 1990s.

LBP is like the old-style Vegas casinos before the big corporations took over (think about Deniro’s move, Casino). The big “corporations” have taken over the Pac-5. They figured out how to neutralize your superior talent. Man-o-man, if you guys had line play and receivers blocking the way De La Salle does you guys would win 100 games in a row.

Green pasties , “integrity of this blog” really??

“Stats”, great job on fluttering the Billycat bloggers, keep it up!
They, as a whole, are the most hypocritical bunch of all the SGV!

  • STATS!

    @New York,
Hahaha, I am laughing at you not with you. You are comparing us losing games to Concord De LaSalle, Mission Viejo, and Santa Margarita to Monrovia beating up on cream puffs like Temple City, San Marino, and Blair? You’re just a natural Issac Newton? No, he did not play football.

  • New York

You reference current events such as Syria, and physicists such as Newton. So I realize that you do not completely have your head burried. The frustrating part is that you seem to be the guy who inserts the word of the day from his calendar, whether it makes sense in his sentence or not. You are on the cusp of getting it, but then you can’t get out of your own way and end up so far off the mark.

The one comparison I have made between Monrovia and LBP is that the Moore League, within the Pac-5, is the equivalent of the Rio Hondo League, within the Mid-Valley, and Moore League does not prepare LBP for playoff success, just like the Rio Hondo does not prepare Monrovia for success. I have also referred to LBP as the Monrovia of the Pac-5…meaning you are the most talented team in the Pac-5…I never once implied that Monrovia’s talent is as rich as LBP’s talent.

What I have said, though, is that LBP is the biggest underachiever on the football field. They really should be 15-0 every year. As you have mentioned, you have far more NFL ballers coming out of your school than ANY other team in the country. That includes the teams that OWN LBP such as De La Salle and Mission Viejo.

My entire reason for pointing out these facts about LBP since 2008 is you felt the need to say that Blair is currently playing 8-man football within the Mid-Valley. So, once you finally claimed to be from LBP, the facts at hand were very convenient to remind you that LBP is now an also-ran within the Pac-5, even though you have the most talent in the country.

Am I wrong that LBP has more NFL ballers than De La Salle or Mission Viejo or ANY other teams that have beaten you in the first and second round since 2008? Am I wrong?

So, do you feel good or skeptical about your playoff outlook going forward, knowing that there is Mission Viejo, Santa Margarits, Servite, Tesoro, etc? I mean, it is highly unlikely that LBP will reach the semis again unless you all get your act together and stop living on your reputation as an factory for future NFL ballers.

  • STATS!

    @New York,
Just do all of us a favor, don’t write a book every time you respond. You’ll have a better chance getting us to read it.

  • Dan

    New York,
Yeah not only did they beat Mater Dei, and Concord De La Salle, but that 04 Mission Viejo team even rolled the two Division 1 finalist that year, crushing D1 champ Long Beach Poly 41 to 14 and also blowing out Los Alamitos 55 to 21 who was the D1 runner up, They also crushed Hart[50 to 20] and Valencia[49 to 21] in blowout wins that same year.
They would be in the argument of being the best team
ever in the Southern section. Mark Sanchez was the QB.

  • New York

    Dan,
Those guys really dominated some good football teams that year. Their scheduling worked out well for them too, with both the D1 finalists on it. De La Salle still went on to win their division as well.

  • STATS!

Good morning all, the library is open.

  • Lancer Blue

    This is Freaken Funny!!!

You’ve got Monrovia (Division 11) and West Covina (Division 7) talking smack about Long Beach Poly? These idiots absolutely do not know what they’re talking about!!! You know what those Crips, Samoans and hoods would do to your little Johnnys, Pedros, and Lakuans??? They’d kick your a**es on the field and then off of it while you’re trying to get on the bus back to the SGV. You are so low on the LBP radar that they don’t even know where Monrovia or West Co is!!! As far as underperforming teams, how many championships the Monrovia LOSE? NOW THAT IS UNDERPERFORMING!!!

  • New York

    Another clown.

Yes, Monrovia has underperformed for many years. that does not mean that LBP has not embarrassed their alumni the past 4. Furthermore, LBP is in big trouble in the Pac-5. The Moore League is a total joke, except for LBP. Lakewood makes noise once in a while.

Right now, the Pac-5 is all about a handful of OC powerhouses. They have a formula for beating Poly. If LBP does not evolve, then they will continue to be the school that generates the most NFL prospects but does not win championships.

  • Margarita bill

    Lancer Blue

All i know is those so called hard CRIP Samoans wasnt so hard when we went there and smashed them at their house and left un-harmed with a 49-16 whooping. so please dont come on here pumping up negativity i didnt know gang banging was part of the reason why teams wins or loses a game, that just goes to show how ignorant you are. And he was just saying that the Moore League is weak which all pac5 representers know it is. IMO Monrovia and WC would do fairly well in the moore league they would beat Millikan, Cabrillo and Woodrow. Im a SGV representer but i attended Santa Margarita but my nephew goes to CO and i love fish bowl play and pac5. But do us all a favor and leave the ignorance behind you gang banging has nothing to do with winning games. And from what i know i havent heard about LBP whooping anyone asses on their way back to the bus in a very long time so stay true to your little Lancers and grow up

    Lancer Blue

LOL i know your not an Amat fan talking about another team under performing. I think you should clean your nose before telling someone else that their nose is snotty.

  • STATS!

    @New York,
Lakewood would smack your kitty cats 24/7.

  • Lancer Blue

I agree with STATS. Except that would be the 1st qtr score. Monrovia would be crying by the 4th!!!

Ten (10) Championships we’re lost by the wild kittens. Not just one or 2. 10 LOSSES in the big game???

Can you say Bride’s Maid??? ;-)

  • STATS!

    BRIDES MAID!!!

@Lancer Blue, 24/7 isn’t the score, it’s all day every day aka Seven-Eleven. The actual score will be something like 78-3.

  • Green pastures aka “El Gato Monte”

    STATS,

it’s obvious that your team plays in the midvalley…why else would you care about little ‘ol D11 Monrovia. Otherwise, you would ignore something or someone soooo small…kind of like when you drop your pants in fromt of a women…that’s if you have the money to pay for a happy ending.

  • STATS!

    @Green pastures,
It’s obvious to me now either all of you are the same person or you are all 3 years old, whatever I said bounced off you and stick to me? You’re right, I don’t care about the Monrovian Hello Kitties until someone showed me all the crap you guys were talking here in the valley. Bunch of big men beating up on cream puffs. CUPCAKES!!!

  • New York

What team is arguably (maybe undeniably) the most talented football program in the country every year? Long Beach Poly. That same team was one and done two years ago, and has not been close to advancing beyond the second round since 2008. Yet you expect someone to be impressed with your program? I’m very impressed with your talent level, but not with your recent output.

Poly’s recent playoff record isn’t much different than Amat’s, but Lancer Blue and others want to talk smack about Amat and now jump onto a Poly bandwagon. Yet you say others are hypocrites? Now THAT is funny.

Anyway, Poly has world class talent so they will always be relevant and a tough team to beat, but it is hard to envision them winning the big games they should be winning with all that talent until they make some changes.

  • let’s be clear

“Lancer”???Blue is disguising as an Amat fan. He’s been. Exposed on Fred’s blog – so take what this knucklehead says with a grain of salt.
