Amat frosh beat Servite frosh … now somebody tell me how Trey Sidney did in his Lancers debut … or is that tonight?

Wanna know how “The Savior” did.

Thanks in advance!

  • C’mon Aram!

    Aram,

Come on….you’re the SGV football guy and you don’t even know if the “Savior” for Amat is playing Freshman, JV, or Varsity?

    That’s not good man.

    C’mon Aram!:

I think you have Aram confused with Fred.

Tre is out with a sprained ankle. He will be back soon. The freshman team at Amat is stacked with some of the best athletes from all around the valley. When they took the field against Servite it got physical. Servite was big and aggressive but Amat is just as big but way more athletic and fast. Amat punched Servite in the mouth and all thier size and intimidation couldn’t save them. Trevon is one of 20+ guys with D1 frames and skills on that team. There is a lot of kids that would be playing varsity at the local high schools as freshman. It is not fair to put a label on any kid like that. He will shine because he is talented, fast, and a great student. He may not be the Savior…but that team will make you a belever.

Oh man, Sidney was out and they STILL went upside Servite’s head? Awesome.

The froshy teams at Amat and CO, from what I hear, are outta sight. Let’s hope they keep playing at the varsity level. I may actually go see that frosh game this year.

    C’Mon Aram,

You’re so right. I will turn in my resignation at the office later this afternoon.

Word has it that Charter Oak’s Aaron Vaughns has a frosh little brother who just left Charter Oak for Amat. He is supposed to be a really good frosh. Why would he leave CO? Sounds like a pushy parent or a coach who wouldn’t cooperate with a parents wishes.

It’s really good to see the talent coming back to Amat in such large numbers. These guys are no doubt looking at what the quality coaching staff has to offer. I just hope they stick around.

With this new CIF transfer policy, you just don’t know what to expect in the coming years. I was a “let the chips fall where they may” type of guy, but I’m starting to think that may not be the best for these young men. Too many options is not always the best. Oh well, that’s a whole other topic.

    In the JV game…

    Servite 20
    Amat 0

  • Wow

Aram please stop giving nicknames 2 this kids, and if u cant help yourself at least be cleaver.. “The Savior” Really guy???

  • realityczech

LouisC probably because he realized that what is being written on these blogs is not the reality. Amat is the better choice without question. And if it’s a pushy parent – that doesn’t fly at Amat at all.

    Aram,

Thanks for reporting the score. The amat freshman team is loaded across the board. Check out their offensive line. They average 6. 1 – 240. That’s some beef. They have another tre that is a hitter. The linebackers and DBS swarm the field. If this team stays healthy, they will be fun to watch. One game one play at a time. Go lancers.

They key to Amat freshman team is there defense.some kids are getting training from former
Pro football players. A kid that stood out was a kid name Andrew Vasquez, Plays strong side defensive end. This kid has all the great skills, from feet work to great use of the hands. From what I was told he is being coached by one of San Gabriel greatest Brigham Harwell. What’s to become of this kid is going to be exciting, can’t wait to see what he can do on the next level.

One of Amat’s big offensive lineman is out 6-2 and 250. left tackle. Quick on his feet too, for a guy his size! come watch us play! #79!

    Amat’s frosh left tackle,

I just wanna say my line did a great job and didn’t give up and we just had our head in the game and came back in the 2 half and did Wht needed to be done, and ino I started off shaky in the first half but thn I pulled it together and threw 2 TDs and just motivated our team to continue our drives down the field. But over all it was a good victory and there’s more to come.#7 QB
