I don’t think that I’ve seen a more “Murderers Row” playoff bracket than this year’s Inland Division. Yikes! Some, on paper, look like Gimmie games, but for the most part, there are very few you can sleep on.

    • Football Dad

Exactly, I am hoping for some surprises finishes and good performance by the young men.

      • Panther Pride

Hey Steve, Actually Nordhoff won the Northwest last year, not Bishop Diego. Just for the record.

  • Scottsman

Give me a break dude. There are 3 teams that have a chance to win it, us, Centennial, and Vista Murrietta. I would have included RC, but after we totally worked them, I think they are one and done. We are now coming together at the right time. The regular season is done, and those records are out the window. Norco will make it to the semis, but lose to VM. We’ll meet Centennial in the semis, and it just depends how we come together. I see us playing VM for the championship.

    • Ha ha ha

Oh please, the U has absolutely no chance of making it to the finals. Personally, I would be amazed if you guys made the semi’s. You lost to Glendora for gods sake.

      • Scottsman

The regular season is done buddy, and the good teams learned and got better. Look at our last 4 games and you will see that we are entering the playoffs united, and more importantly, much improved. Wait and see…

        • Ha ha ha

If you make it to Centennial, you get posterized. By you logic, everyone that’s in the playoffs has gotten better over the last few weeks, therefor it’s a push.

        • AramT

Totally baffled by the result of the Rancho game. The Upland team I saw vs. Glendora had nice talent, but looked to be just so-so, especially on offense. Maybe they hit their stride.

Everybody’s just giving this division to the Nos. 1 and 2 seeds.

One thing is for certain, the Inland isn’t nearly as good as its been the past few years.

          • inland_1

Rancho definitely did not look like they were ready to play and yes some of that was due to what Upland was doing. Rancho players looked like they did not want to be there. With most everyone going with the 1&2 this year, for me it’s based on what their overall body of work has been. Upland is going to have a tough 2nd round game no matter who wins the Ike / Santiago game. Upland would be looking at playing either a very under the radar Ike team or a Santiago team they have already beaten this season, and we all know beating a team twice in a season is already tough, but when you have a young Upland team having to do it, you would hope they don’t come in over confident. If I had to pick a 3rd team with the best shot at winning it, I would have to go with Norco.

          • Football Dad

Yes, the Inland sent a lot of the talent to D1, over the last couple years. Now they are reloading and the young talent is on the field, but they are coming along.

    • Not So Fast My Friend

Nice time for the team to do that considering this had to be the most dysfunctional team that Salter has ever had. We’ll see if all the hugs and love thats been on display since beating Rancho lasts. Your team chemistry is being held together by Elmer’s Glue and cheap masking tape. Lol Good luck. See you in Corona, if you make it that far.

  • inland_1

That is crazy dumb, Crespi in because they finished third in their league over the 5th place team from what is inarguably the toughest league in the country. JSerra finishes no worse then 2nd in the Serra. Centennial is going to run roughshod over the Inland Division, yes even over VM.

    • Not So Fast My Friend

Yes I believe that we will run over, thru, etc everyone, including VM

  • FootballFan

Upland is a young team. There are only 5 starters that are Seniors. They have grown as a team over the last 10 weeks.

    • Football Dad

Upland got a great draw in playing South Hills. South Hills’ kids are very tough and physical, but they are weak against the pass and Hilinski arguably the best passer in the Inland bracket. But toughness goes a long way,
so SH may be able to pull it off.

  • GP AKA Green Machine

I told you all, that Upland would beat Rancho in week 10. Honestly this division will have VM CC, the U and RC in the Semis. This Division is about as predictable as any in the section. They are really going to have to do something about this division….I don’t see any surprises. Well Maybe Norco.

The South east is brutal. There are no easy games in this division. It’s serious in round one…La Serna is the only team, I feel is going to dominate in the first 2 games…The Semis will be crazy!

The Midvalley is all about the Semi’s Monrovia possibly will meet Paraclete in Lancaster….that’s the game. San Dimas and San Marino have the 2nd round block buster, and I expect the winner of that to go on to the finals…It will be SD and Monrovia in the finals at Citrus for the rubber match. Imagine if SD had Payton…However, it’s still going to be a great game.

    • Think again

Payton could always transfer back to SD with a legit change of address and be there for the playoffs. In fact, I wish he would just so someone could exploit that glaring hole in the CIF rule book that allows “in season” transfers.

    • Football Dad

I agree that Mtown and Paraclete is going to be a game. I think San Dimas is going to be a tough out.

  • Jefe

I love how Fred thinks he knows all the rules about how these teams get in yet he still thought Amat had a chance to make the playoffs. Ok Fred…
