So Aram, as far as La Serna goes, how was your Koolaid? Was the juice worth the squeeze? Maybe when success is measured in hits not accuracy… Still be glad to buy you the burgers for that Southeast Final Game… if it’s in Whittier or La Mirada (Norwalk), I’ll make it Norm’s on Whittier and Ocean View… Still the best (fast) food in town… If it is in Pasadena, I’ll take your advise

    • AramT

I’ve never tried Norms. I’ve heard before that it’s very good.

      • The Chef

For you I’m guessing the real Lamb Gyro with a pastrami chaser or the double Avocado Bacon Cheeseburger (ABC)… with a side of “I screwed up and picked against the Lancers” of course… Greenie is having a double…

        • AramT

Yeah? And for you I’m guessing you’ll be the guy behind the counter taking my order and asking if I want fries with that. Then I’ll tell you that to make sure my Coke is diet.

          • The Chef

and i’ll be sure to leave you something special in that Coke…

        • GP AKA Green Machine

I still don’t have them winning the South East…

          • The Chef

Don’t be a hater Greenie… So far I have you 0-4 when you picked against them…

    • The Chef

Greenie, you were the one that announced LS too slow and un-athletic and picked DBar 42-38… and now the #2 team in the area… Wow was that a tasty realization… Perhaps next time you’ll listen before you prognosticate?…

      • GP AKA Green Machine

        I was wrong

      • Lock-N-Load

        Actually they were against Norco…

    • Lock-N-Load

And two straight years of getting smacked by Norco…

First I want to say thanks to DBAR for a great season. To see how far this team came this year was a thrill and an honor to watch. OK, now for the waxing they took last night. That was the best coached football team I’ve seen in years. La Serna came in with a game plan, were extremely well prepared and executed with a efficiency not seen in the high school realm. Frankie football, their quarterback was amazing. Accurate in the passing game and a fluid as a runner…loved watching him. La Serna ran counters, reverses, play action, screens, crossing patterns and always seemed in control. On defense they were small. But woah, were they fast and athletic. When Tyler Brown can’t get outside and his longest run was four yards, and you saw the effort to get the four…wow. That said….There has been a huge difference in DBar since their defensive coordinator was suspended after the DRanch game. All year you saw teams start hot and DBar make adjustments or they came in with a good game plan. That has not been the case sense. It reminded me a lot of last year. So for coach Maine, who I applaud for getting us back to this point, here is my two cents worth for 2014: 1. If you can’t bring back your DC hire the best defensive mind you can find. Stress defense all spring summer and fall. 2. Break down the tape of this game and study it and implement lots of aspects in their game. La Serna’s passing game and running game was much more complicated than anything we ran all year. Add some two back or three back formations…run some counters. The last La Serna score with no time on the clock was telling. A counter play that the entire DBAR defense was fooled on. Not one player knew where the ball was. La Serna was able to fly to the ball because they knew there was nothing in our offense to confuse them. 3. You’ll have a senior qb with three of the best receivers in the valley, Cordell, Kanya and Antonio… use them wisely…again, look at La Serna as a guide. 4. Last, use this game as motivation but don’t forget the great season you had.

Wing t at dbar???? I font think so.

    • Joe Perez

DB way overrated.Snoops not a D1 prospect. They beat a weak Downey team. Noodles was a non factor although he’s a baller total D1 player. I love how happy Walnut was cheering on LS.

      DR for life

      • brad mill

You are right, Snoop is not a D1 prospect…dumbass…His son is though…What hurt him was losing Kanya as the deep threat all year. I love how everyone was cheering on Santa Fe…DB was probably overrated but so was DR…lol…

        • J freerun Davis

Actually he is overrated. He’s at best a D3 player. Sorry bud his numbers are weak and numbers don’t lie. I agree DR is overrated. LS was small and they just dominated DB. Lot of talent on DB and they couldn’t do a thing.

      • DBar Alum

If the kid is so bad then why did DR have to double team him all night? And yet DR still gave up 90 yards to him.

        • Joe Perez

Right…… enjoy your off season ;)

        • Southeast follower

La Serna’s number 34 handled him all night and he is only a sophomore. Maybe he should be looked as D1 prospect.

    • DBar Alum

Your right, Inglima made a huge difference for this team all year long. The D was significantly better this year then the most recent previous years. Hopefully we can get Inglima back for next year.
