Tyler Spitzer, a Star-News All-Area baseball and football player at San Marino, has accepted an offer to play at Harvard next season.

Spitzer, a senior, is one of the top defensive back, receivers and kick returners in the Valley. He’s also the lead-off hitter on the Titans’ league champion baseball team. And needless to say, he’s also got grades.

Spitzer had 510 yards and eight touchdowns on offense and eight interceptions in 2013.

Excellent accomplishment! The Crimson is no joke these days and getting the grades to get in is no joke either. Congrats!

  • The truth and nothing but…

I wish more people would comment on this than the Nava post. A player playing in the Ivy is much bigger news than someone who transfer from Rosemead to Bishop Amat back to Rosemead. Good job kid, your parents should be really proud!

I agree but we all know how news works these days on any level. The guy accused of shooting his wife is a bigger story than the guy who wins the Nobel Peace Price

This is pretty awesome. Congratulations and keep working hard. The program is very deep.

I got to see Fisher from Diamond Ranch play against University of San Diego last fall. It was a great showing by Crimson alumni, outnumbering the San Diego students and fans in both number and enthusiasm!
