Things have gotten scary bad in the Almont League …. Combined record of 4-26!!!

Almont

The best way to sum up the Almont League is by saying somebody’s gotta win it.

With league play set to start this Friday, the Almont League is bringing one of the worst across-the-board resumes to the table in quite some time.

No team in the Almont League has won more than one game. The combined record of the league is 4-26. Two teams, Bell Gardens and Montebello, are winless.

At the start of the season, Montebello was most people’s favorite. The Oilers have played a very tough nonleague schedule, but are averaging just 8.8 points per game. Perhaps they’ll show signs of life now that they’re back in against familiar faces.

Schurr has had some nice moments against a difficult nonleague schedule. That might be enough to consider the Spartans the team to beat. Schurr hosts Montebello on Friday in one of the area’s biggest rivalry games.
