The college career of former area standout running back Kurt Scoby is quickly startin to look like his prep career.

Scoby will play this fall at Dixie State after previously signing a scholarship offer at APU after leaving Fresno St., where he played his freshman season last fall.

This week, APU published a list of 10 commits for its incoming class and Scoby was not on it. Scoby was expected to enroll for the fall semester at APU but has now wound up at Dixie St.

Scoby’s prep career included stops at Charter Oak, Duarte, Alemany and Cathedral before he finally ended up at Monrovia where he ran for 2,206 yards and 35 touchdowns his senior season.

strangely, APU plays at Dixie St. on Sept. 26.
