Doug Bledsoe resigns as Pasadena football head coach

Doug Bledsoe said early Thursday that he has resigned as Pasadena’s varsity football head coach due to a family illness.

Bledsoe was 10-20 in his three seasons, but did guide the Bulldogs past rival Muir for the first time since 1995.

That’s unfortunate.10-20 may not be a great record, but they improved each year; it would have been interesting to see what Pasadena could have achieved with continued stability.

So the Pacific League is going to have two first year coaches next year (Burroughs), two second year coaches (Glendale, Muir), one third year (Burbank), two fourth year (Arcadia, Hoover), and one seventh year (CV). That’s an average of two years tenure.

All the best to Coach Bledsoe and his family.

Didn’t they finally beat Muir again?
