New reality show idea: Rosemead City Council
I love reality TV. The Rosemead City Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday would be a good pilot. Here's what I'll be going for:
1. A new pending lawsuit. Don't know much about it. If you got the info, fill us in.
2. The Mayoral rotation. I'm expecting the conversation won't be pretty. (I wasn't really serious about me serving as an honorary mayor. I don't think I would want that job. But I was serious about changing my name to Jennifer McMayor. It has a nice ring to it.)
3. Garvey Avenue needs resurfacing and it will cost about $1 million.
4. Councilman Gary Taylor wants to know where City Attorney's Bonifacio Garcia's outstanding bills are.
5. Mayor John Tran wants to send out a letter to residents addressing Rosemead Partners event that was marketed as "Rosemead's Inagural State of the City Address," which wasn't a city sponsored event.
That's what I'll be there for. They should really start offering popcorn at these meetings.

And there is one man who is doing the right things and that man is Gary Taylor. No arguments about that. He is the only council member, and we can include Maggie Clark, who are fighting for the good of the residents.
I hope the citizens of Rosemead "vote" the three amigos off the island.

The old Soviet newspaper, Pravda, became a laughing stock because, despite all objective evidence to the contrary, each issue hailed the glorious superiority of their way of life over that of us here in the West. The fact that the newspaper's name translated as "The Truth" made their claims all the more laughable.

Poke fun, but the truth is the truth. So you throw communism into a conversation that has nothing to do with topics at hand. Diversion tactics like the red scare and mockery work when the uniformed citizens think you are crazy. But why make up things or hide things? Speak the truth and you will not have to make up responses geared toward hiding facts you do not want the public to know.
Laugh while the City of Rosemead is plundered by the three amigos, wasteful spending and a hostile work environment have already been proven in the minds of people not laughing.
Evil men hide things and people see what you are doing. Laugh all you want, when the city of Rosemead is trashed by the three amigos, anonymous people will seep back into the shadows to avoid admittance of their wrong-doing.

Ccommunism has nothing to do with it. I'm laughing at the irony of your moniker, coupled with your inability to point to actual facts to support your argument. Just calling someone a "great man" over and over doesn't make him great.
The facts ARE obvious, and the fact is that Rosemead is finally improving after thirty years of stagnation. Some people like stagnation and they want more of the same. So yes, if you want more traffic, more graffiti, more abandoned storefronts, and more council members who sit on their hands and bemoan all these problems while doing nothing to solve them, then, yes, by all means, let's keep the old guys in office and elected more do-nothing council members just like them.
But if you're tired of business as usual, then let's give the new guys more than 12 months to do something about all these problems that have been ignored for generations.

Crime is up since the three amigos have joined the city council...do something please...but no, they will cost the city millions and millions of dollars developing pet projects. Good luck is all I can say.
Respect is earned and when the three amigos continue to fleece the city and it's residents you will run and never be heard of again.
I've seen your type many times. You don't care about the truth...it's that shiny object in the window, who's gonna pay for it? You would steal it. That is your type person. Steal it....hiding the truth is what you do constantly. Who is gonna pay for it? Not you. you will deny everything and run.

Funny, but I haven't read about this phantom crime increase anywhere but by your say so. Why don't you provide some evidence instead of just making stuff up? Oh, yes, I forgot: You're Pravda, so you don't need any actual facts to support your claims.
