Signs call for Nunez to resign

| | Comments (7) |

Got a message this morning from a Rosemead resident who said she spotted a sign on Muscatel and Marshall that read, "John Nunez: Resign Now." Steven Ly, president of Rosemead Partners, told me a couple of weeks ago that the group planned on putting these signs around the city.

Have you seen them? What do you think about them?

I think Jean Hall and her friends need to start thinking of more productive uses of their time.

Blanket the city with the signs! And don't forget to let people know about Mr. Nunez' skills in dealing with female staff.

The Truth said:

Yes, John Nunez should resign and the residents should express their distain by making the effort to force him to resign or recall or impeachment if they can. I’m extremely disappointed he hasn’t already. When will the residents learn? He will continue to make poor decisions along with the three amigos. The three amigos will continue to ruin the City of Rosemead. When will the residents get it?

And whoever thinks that Jean Hall and friends are not making good use of their time is “covering” for the three amigos. The truth will come out eventually, but until the residents of Rosemead act with more concern, the problem of the three amigos will fester like an open wound. Jean Hall and friends should keep going with being active in their community, ridding it of the three amigos and all other outside interests who want to make money of development projects that the three amigos blindly support for their own gain, not for the betterment of the residents.

Pravda needs to figure out that that's a difference between an accusation and a conviction. He also needs to figure out why Wal-Mart keeps dumping money into Rosemead "Partners." What exactly is in this partnership for Wal-Mart?

It's pathetic (but not surprising) that the same old faces who were calling for "healing" when they were in the majority have decided that the only way they can get back in power (and let's not deceive ourselves--this is all about political power and nothing at all about "The Truth") is to sling mud for month after month.

So what is wrong with Rosemead Partners getting the support from Wal-Mart? Doesn't the area around an existing building look so much better, and possibly attracting more businesses? Yes. The truth, don't lie and say it doesn't.

Political power is all the three amigos want. They have the majority so watch what you get now. A bunch of outsiders pulling their strings and the residents will pay for it.

Why is Nunez still in office?

The Facts said:

The simple truth is that Wal Mart wants a council majority, so they can get special treatment from City Hall. Ousting Nunez is the shortest path to this goal.

If you look at other cities that Wal-Mart has pushed around, it's obvious what they're trying to do. The City Council is the gatekeeper to a lot of things like zoning, favored contractors, etc.

Wal Mart isn't just a store. They are also a real estate company. By gaining a majority on the CC, their property business could benefit.

I've seen five, and they're all on one house. I'm sure the neighbors love that. Snort. Guess they were a little overconfident.

Rosemead Partners can quit changing its name because they're not fooling anyone.

Get over it. Move to New Jersey.
