Local Leaders: Their lives in the SGV

The blog is starting a series, Local Leaders: Their lives in the SGV, that will hopefully accomplish two things: 1.) Get us more familiar with our local elected officials, from our water board members to our Senators, and 2.) Get us more familiar with the history of the San Gabriel Valley. We will post a different entry each Saturday.

Tomorrow's entry is pretty skeletal, and I am hoping that the series will be reader driven, from who should be interviewed to the questions we should ask.

any local council members would be good....I would want to know why they chose to run for office - and I would like to hear more than the canned "to help my community" answer.
also..
Antonvich
Margett
Drier
and the list goes on...
again...why do they serve in public office?

As a sidebar...I always thought it would be nice to know the financial position of elected officials prior to taking office and then years later when they leave office?????

Great idea !

I think looking at the campaign finance of those are very revealing also.

You can see the ones who want favors, the ones that have been given some, and the ones that are people like myself that have been totally naive, about who these some people are really beholden too.
