Corona v. everyone else

Tonight’s the night: the Baldwin Park Unified School District meeting starts at 6 p.m. and we’re almost sure their will be people there commenting on board member Sergio Corona’s arrest last week.

Reporter Brian Day will be out there in case any bombs are dropped.

I haven’t been able to get the district superintendent or board president on the phone, but we’re hearing the board is meeting in closed session now — and Corona isn’t present.

Several board members and council members have said publicly Corona should resign to take care of his “issues.”

Mr.Corona needs to do the right thing and resign from the school board….how can he continue to make decisions on student expulsion hearings regarding student alcohol or substance abuse issues and still be able to tell himself he’s a role model for those very same students and his community? he needs to seek the proper help and be accountable and not display the common political arrogance that current politicians seem to demonstrate these days.Do the right thing and step down.

I was present at the BPUSD mtg. Only one person was brave enough to confront the board during Public Communications. With the resident’s broken English, this person made it perfectly clear that Mr. Corona should be asked to step down. He’s an embarrassment to the community and a poor role model to the students. I concur!!!!!
