Here is our hard working newpaper staff, including prep sports blogger Freddy Robledo. These guys have been hovering over the TV all morning, watching the US Open. Tiger won.

good thing it wasn't the Laker game... something everyone should enjoy the honor of watching with Freddy, whether at his home or at a restaurant bar...

good job catching Freddy working hard...

Did you get any of them in trouble for watching television on the job?

What kind of work does "anonyMOUSE" do that they have the time to post comments on a blog during work hours? Ms. McLain, why don't you stand up for your coworkers and point out that every newspaper (which comes out daily) has a television on in the newsroom because the medium of television has the unique opportunity to break news 24-hours per day? How would you like your coworkers to take a snapshot of all the sites you visit during your work hours and post them for the world to see? Way to use the Internet for its worst purposes and follow that up by not addressing the mindless public responses by clearing the air. I'm glad the Tribune staff actually spends time observing news as it happens rather than merely reading a wire report and writing a mild variation of that.
