BP councilman quits job

anthony.jpgBaldwin Park City Councilman Anthony Bejarano is quitting his job at the law firm of Meyers Nave Riback Silver & Wilson.

His last day was actually Friday.

No worries, Bejarano won't be living off his council salary for too long. He plans to open his own firm solo in about six months.

Where? "Baldwin Park, of course," he said.

Bejarano said he wants to do more open-government advocacy/lobbying stuff.

"I want to do a variety of things that are a little more politically involved," he said.

Apparently, Meyers Nave has strict rules about that sort of thing.

I heard that this wasn't his first choice for a job. Unfortunately he couldn't find anyone that would pay him for staring into a mirror.
