CARA's home sweet home
CARA is the group that is opposed to Baldwin Park's downtown development.
Their office is at 4248 Maine Street in Baldwin Park. The space is pretty large -- about 1,200 square feet -- and has been donated rent-free by Glendora resident Mark Cyr, who is also treasurer of CARA and longtime owner of Maine Avenue's California Discount Glass.
For the most part, the office is empty except for a small space off to the side near the entrance with chairs, a desk and plenty of office supplies.
It feels very grass roots on the inside, except we shouldn't forget that CARA is getting backing from some major heavy hitters -- several statewide groups opposed to eminent domain.
In case you want to stop by, the office is at 4248 Maine Avenue. You can't miss it....the "stop eminent domain" and "hands off my house" signs are right out front.
I like CARA because they backed proposition 98. it's too bad it lost we could have finally got rid of rent control and other laws that only hurt business. I encourage everyone to go hear what they have to say.
The CARA folks were real nice. They'll make sure to clean up Baldwin Park. Get all the rif raf out of town and make it like it used to be back in the 50's when I was growing up. Thank goodness

I'm sure Renter meant "disturbing" and I agree. Taxpaper's comments that BP should be like the 50's sounds racist, but then again, that is what this site fosters.

we only lost the election because of all the lies and distortions. Proposition 98 would have done a great service to California.

CARA klan first need to clean-up their own back yard. Just drive past Greg Tuttle's business at 14845 Ramona Blvd; (Auction Villiage area)and you will see the disgusting mess Tuttle prides himself on. Tuttle you disgrace Baldwin Park - go back to Pomona and grief them with your arrogance!
