We wanted to clarify our intentions on a post last week titled "Who Wore it Better."  The post pictured El Monte Councilwoman Emily Ishigaki next to South El Monte Mayor Blanca Figueroa, and we asked, "Who wore it better." The post had nothing to do with their politics, as some of the commentors suggested -- it was just an observation that these women looked alike.

Talk about really FAKE apologies. why don't you two just admit that you HAVE taken sides and that you allow yourselves to be used as gossip mongers by people who don't like these two women. That would be honest of you.

I think you need to apologize to your profession... to point out that these two women look alike is the most pathetic piece of journalism yet, but i'm sure you could go lower.

Where is your jounalistic integrity? How can the Tribune Editor call this garbage real news. What school did these two young womwn graduate from? Was it a mail in course or one over the internet? You are being a gossip colum. Take a job with the STAR or ENQUIERER....they live for this kind of junk. It sells. Now there is your true calling.
