Long lost minutes

Looks like that revolving door of city clerks in La Puente has really taken a toll on the workload.

The City Council is slated to approve the minutes of meetings dating back as far as November of 2006 tonight.

Here are the other meeting minutes that are pending approval:

2006?!?! I'll say no more.

Maybe they were wrapped up in responding to public records requests from reporters.

Right, pushy reporters who expect your staff to drop everything they are trying to get done and turn their attention to producing hundreds and hundreds of pages of documents (some of which need to be reviewed for purposes of legitimate confidentiality). I mean lets face it: the reporer has her deadline and the city needs to operate in accordance with her filing deadline. And if you dont' jump when she says jump you get a nasty post on this blog insinuating that your "failure to act promptly" is evidence of some nefarious desire to "keep the truth from the public."
