Money for El Monte development

| | Comments (4) |

Councilwoman Emily Ishigaki just called to let us know that El Monte received a $26 million grant. The money will be put toward a transit village that will be located on Santa Anita. Now, the city could move forward on a development that will incorporate senior and affordable housing, all located near public transportation.

Where did the grant come from? Couln't she remember from? It wouldn't surprize me one bit. What will the money be used for other than to make the developer wealthier. I bet Emily and Ernie got a hefty contribution from the developer for their re-election campaigns. Am I right?

Boy aren't you a real wet blanket. The City gets a much needed grant and all you can do is grouse. You are truly pathetic.

This great news. $26 million grant is great. That's $26 million El Monte taxpayers will not have to pay for this interesting project.
