Rock pioneer Bo Diddley dies

Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich released the following statement on the passing of rock 'n' roll legend Bo Diddley, who died on Monday.

"One of the early pioneers of rhythm 'n' blues, Bo Diddley brought a unique style to rock and roll that was appreciated all over the world. From his beginnings in the 1950s he was always a professional who would become an icon in the rhythm 'n' blues world. He entertained millions and left a legacy for future generations of rock enthusiasts," Antonovich said.
