As promised, I did drive out to the site of James Treasure's voter registration address this (Wednesday) morning and behold: Costa Azul Travel Agency is located at 4115 Maine Ave., the same address listed on James Treasure's sample ballot.

I later drove to CARA's main office, which is just down the street and had the opportunity to chat with James.

I asked him why he listed a business address on his voter registration.

Treasure told me he doesn't work at Costa Azul, but rather has a desk there --- a makeshift office if you will from a former survey project he was working on last year.

Treasure claimed he listed that address because he's hardly ever at his Maine Avenue apartment across the street.

"I get all my mail there," Treasure said.

According to the registrar/recorder voters must list there home address on their voter registration...however, there is an option for voters to list a separate mailing address.

Let's hope that's the case here.

Anonymous, I don't know what it is you're trying to say, but you should really think it through before posting it.

Why not let the District Attorney decide or rather the Secretary of State. The last time I checked, this type of "voter registration" is fradulent and it's AGAINST THE LAW. YOU CANNOT LIST YOUR BUSINESS ADDRESS AS YOUR RESIDENCE ADDRESS simply because all of the rest of your mail goes there. GIVE ME A BREAK.

The voter registration affidavit has one entry for "residence address" and a separate entry for "mailing address". If Treasure entered his business address in the "residence address" section, he has committed FRAUD. He has signed UNDER PENALT OF PERJURY...

So to all of you who are registered to vote using your business address, I suggest you amend your voter registration affidavit and remove your business address from your "residence address" or else we're coming after you too!

haha, tuttle's machine shop and woods n sons are not "amigo stores." They're industrial shops.

The real question is, how much is JET being paid for his brave "defense" of the constitution?

So his "residence" is across the street, but since he's hardly ever there he has his mail sent to this business? That seems a little, o.k. A LOT, fishy. I mean you have to REALLY not be there often (like never, for example) to have to have your mail sent to a business 20 steps away.

What exactly are the rules for absentee voting. I think someone said there were exceptions where you could receive mail at another place other than your house. Is that true? and under what circumstances?

Whichever "Anonymous" writer it was (there are so many of you wussies)that said Woods 'N Sons is an industrial shop, you certainly are uninformed, get a clue! FYI... for the past 41 years Woods 'N Sons has been a Retail Shop! If you actually lived and shopped in Baldwin Park you would know!!! P.S. Some of you obviously have way to much time on your hands, stop posting false information, yeah I'm talking to you De Clercq, oops, I mean "Bob the Builder" HA HA

"the sale of goods to ultimate consumers, usually in small quantities (opposed to wholesale)."

What "goods" does woods N Sons sell?

Brandie Woods said:

They prefer to define retail as, "the sale of ultimate goods to ultimate consumers, always in small quantities" Why don't you stop on by the shop and find out what they sell for yourself (if your nice you may even get a discount). Last I heard, they still don't accept checks from Mr./Mrs. Anonymous =0
