A couple of noteworthy items on the Baldwin Park City Council agenda tonight:

1. CONFERENCE WITH LABOR NEGOTIATORS GC 54957.6
Agency Negotiators: Vijay Singhal, Chief Executive Officer; Richard Kreisler and other representatives as designated
Employee Organizations: SEIU, Clerical; Professional and Technical Employees; Police Management Employees; Confidential Employees; and General Management Employees

---- What this means is contract negotiations are going down again for the various groups mentioned above. Let's hope this year's negotiations with police aren't as contentious....

 

2. WITHDRAWAL OF BALDWIN PARK CHAMBER OF COMMERCE MEMBERSHIP
Staff recommends City Council authorize staff to withdraw the city's membership from the Baldwin Park Chamber of Commerce.

----- There is a staff report available here, thought it really isn't extensive. You might remember a story I wrote last week on Councilwoman Marlen Garcia's concerns about the chamber. This agenda item essentially addresses that...

What "story"?

also, Police negotiations were wrapped up a couple meetings ago...it was reported in a council meeting. There are other bargaining units listed on that agenda.
