Field trip to mayors' digs
Rebecca Kimitch's story about South El Monte Mayor Blanca Figueora inspired me to take a field trip to several Mayors offices and compare them to Blanca's. I'll be hitting up Covina, West Covina, and of course, South El Monte.
Look for pictures later in the day.
You will more than likely find the same in each office. Photos of ground breakings, certificates amd plaques of appreciation and thanks. Some plants, small gifts from residents, a computer, phone, clock, coffee pot and snacks. Photos with family and friends. This would also be what you might find in CEO and managers, Presidents officess of businesss and corporations. I had so much stuff from well over 10 years of city service. It adds up. Especially if you have the respect and admiration of you city as a elected official in any given office.

Anyone who works so hard must get the people's support and a pat on the back. We do appreciate work done by the Mayor of South El Monte, Blanca Figueroa.
