Allred in the flesh
Seeing this front page article and picture on our Web site's homepage just reminded me of my first, real-life encounter with notorious attorney Gloria Allred.
It happened earlier this week. I was serving jury duty at the Los Angeles County civil courthouse in downtown ----- sitting down outside the court room waiting for the jurors to be called in when whizzing by went Allred herself, wearing a forest green pant suit, heels and tugging some sort of file holder/briefcase on wheels.
At first, I did a double take and thought to myself -- "Was that Gloria Allred?"
Then, one word popped into my mind: "OCTOMOM!"
Then, the juror next to me asked my first question (above) out loud. We realized it was Allred.
She was much shorter in person than I thought she would be --- of course that says nothing about her power and scope.
I know, it has nothing to do with local news except her connection to Nadya Suleman and Angels in Waiting .... but I thought I'd share anyway.
Allred.
Octomom.
One good publicity whore deserves another.
This is insane. Why are children having children??
If you don't have a job or pay your own way, expecting the government and other people to support you like they are your mommy and daddy, you are a child.
Octomom our society already has enough problems with people with their hands out having taxpayers footing the bill for their poor children... grow up, pay your own way or give your children to some family that act like adults!!
And stop having children you cannot afford!
As far as Alred, she should be standing up for the people paying for these children, the tax payers. I'd bet there are some families that cannot have children who would love to adopt..... But Alred is all about herself and not the best interest of the people (or children) involved!
What, did they call the whle newsroom in for jury duty over the past few weeks? :D
