Our cops love IN-N-OUT Burger ***********

| | Comments (10) |

*****I find it very interesting the comments made on this post. So I will just say this: When we decided to put this up, in no way was it to make any other statement then, 'Hey, that's funny - on our way to lunch, we saw two different police agencies in the drive-thru across the street in a matter of days. Wow, I guess they love In-N-Out as much as we do.' Nothing more. And yes, this is located in borderline Baldwin Park, West Covina and even close to Irwindale. The end.

Our office is located right across the street from a very popular In-N-Out Burger in West Covina.

So popular, we spotted two different police agencies grabbing lunch in the drive-thru in the last five days: Irwindale and Baldwin Park police. Hey, we love In-N-Out too....

***Just to make it clear, this is the address for the In-N-Out straight from the Web site:

15610 San Bernardino Rd.

West Covina, California 91790

Get a life. If you saw an officer eating inside a restaurant and off the street, people would still gripe.

Where exactly do you expect them to eat in a timely manner....I eat there at least once a week...will my picture be in the paper next ????

That't not the point, Joan. If there's an emergency, and the police are stuck in a 20or 30 minute In-N-Out line, what are they gonna do? Wait for their burger and the line to subside before they go out on a call? I don't care what the cops eat, but they should at least park the car - it will save some gas - and walk up to the line and order.

More significantly, what are these cops doing OUT OF THEIR JURISDICTION in cars the taxpayers of the those jurisdictions pay for both in terms of maintenance and fuel cost.

I'm also sure the people in the jurisdictions would appreciate if the cops would at the very least contribute to the sale tax revenues of their respective cities by buying their lunch in those cities if they are going to burn taxpayer paid gasoline to go on a food run.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that these cops should be fire but they certainly should be given a very stern warning not to do this again.

What's next, take the squad car to pick-up their dry-cleaning in the next town. These guys get paid enough to do their errand on their own dime or at least stay within the cities they work in when their on duty.

Once again, get a life. There are more important things to be concerned with these days. P.S. This In and Out is not in West Covina.

I used to enjoy reading your information on local politics. There is so much to report on what our politicians need to do right now to help their communites along with all the corruption that goes on daily with our politicians. Report on that, why waste your time on where cops eat. It's been a nice run but I will go to a blog where I can see some good political journalism and reporting.

The location in in unincorporated LA county (not WC). its a mere block from BP, WC, Covina or Irwindale. its not like they drove to Beverly Hills or something.

and if they got a call they would hit the lights and clear everyone out of the way.

SERIOUSLY? ITS PRETTY EVIDENT THAT THE TRIBUNE IS RUNNING OUT OF STORIES AND MONEY! ARE YOU GUYS JUST WALKING AROUND THE PARKING LOT TO FIND A STORY? WHY DON'T YOU PUT THIS IN THE FRONT PAGE AND PUT BREAKING NEWS: COPS ARE HUMAN, THEY EAT ALSO!

You guys are such idiots! First, yes your office is across the in-n-out; your office (SGV Tribune)and the In-n-Out are literally "border line" Baldwin Park. Second, the Cops Are assigned beats, meaning unless there is a life threating emergency or major crime, they must stay in their assigned area. This in-n-out is on the border line of that area. Third, there is no obligation in which cops have to eat everytime in the city that they work in, specially when cops have jurisdiction in other cities when they need to help out.
