The Upper San Gabriel Valley Municipal Water District is going to consider yanking Bill Robinson on Tuesday from his appointed post on the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California after he questioned whether the labor unions are immune from budget cuts.

In the meantime, Irwindale City Manager Robert Griego said that he will meet with the police officers union and managers union on Wednesday to inform them of possible ways to control cost measures such as controlling overtime, modifcation to different benefit programs, and modifying things like tuition reimbursement to reduce operating costs.

Good for Bill Robinson for addressing an issue that needs to be tackled.

Bill Robinson has the experience to get the job done. He was voted by the people and represents the people.

Jennifer:

What makes you think his comments about the union have ANYTHING to do with a decision to yank him as the Board representative.

You have a VERY unprofessional penchant for drawing conclusions based on nothing but your own self-righteous and at times paranoid pontificating.

(Remeber: You're the same person who actually thought people were trying "to kill you" because of your "daring coverage" when the only thing that happened was that the breaks of your crappy car were worn); you posted your paranoia on this blog.

You really are a poorly informed disgrace of a "reporter."

Is Tony Fellow still crying because he is not the water district's representative to the MWD? Get over it dude!

Anonymous No. 3,

Thanks for your continual support of the blog. It seems that you've been keeping up with the information posted here for at least over a year now, especailly regarding the water information. If you have a tip that you believe is newsworthy, I'd welcome it.

Thanks again,

Why should "public" employees be sheltered from the effects of the economy any less than the union employees of GM and Chrylser? If anything, "public" employees should shoulder the burden first, since they have such a great desire to "serve" the public.

At West Covina's council meeting, I heard employees with telling council members about financial worries and job worries - welcome to the real world folks.

I think someone can agree with the premise that employee compensation should be considered, but still feel that Bill Robinson does not belong on the board. The two are not a package deal as much as the bloggers who run thsi page want you to believe that so that the story doesn't get "too complicated."

IT IS TIME FOR TONY FELLOWS TO GROW UP AND STOP HIS VENGENCE AND DO WHAT IS RIGHT FOR THE PEOPLE WHO ELECTED HIM...HE SAID EL MONTE DID NOT UNDERSTAND HIM, SO HE MOVED TO ARCADIA...TONY DO SOMETHING FOR ONCE THAT IS RIGHT, NOT JUST FOR TONY FELLOWS---HE MOVED OUT OF EL MONTE AS HE SAID WE DID NOT UNDERSTAND HIM...WELL NO ONE CAN UNDERSTAND AND JUSTIFY A VOTE THAT IS ONLY A POLITICAL MOVE FOR ONE'S SELF.

TONY FELLOWS, IT IS TIME YOU GREW UP AND DID SOMETHING FOR THE PEOPLE WHO ELECTED YOU, RATHER THAN FOR TONY FELLOWS. HE MOVED OUT OF EL MONTE BECAUSE WE DID NOT UNDERSTAND HIM, -- IT DOES NOT MATTER TONY WHERE YOU LIVE, VOTERS EXPECT THEIR REPRESENTATIVES TO DO THEIR JOB FOR THE PEOPLE...HAS HE ALSO HEARD OF FREEDOM OF SPEECH?????
