Time for a Lujan Recall!! Get him outta there!

What are they searching for? Isn't he running for the assembly? Who filed the complaint against him? Is it as bad as Temple City?

What is the criminal investigation about? Does of have to do with his campaign as a councilmenber or assemblymenbet?

Is the DA going through all the cities in the Valley? If these elected officials are brought up on charges, who pays the bill?

People need to hold off on this because I see nothing wrong. Yet. What I don't get is that it's criminal investigation. If this turns out to be a missing check that was not reported for $500 or something I'm going to be laughing my ass off. I'm going to assume there is no story here.

Why would the DA spend time and money to do what they did? They must of had some proof. They just don't go busting down doors if therevis no proof. Where there is smoke, there is fire!

Innocent until proven guilty. What are the facts on this case. I hope to read more on this crisis. Keep us informed.

I can't believe what I am reading. Not Lujan. It was bad enough reading the bad news about Temple City. Three in one blow. Now La Puente. What is happening. Why?

Believe what you are reading Lujan is a dishonest person. His family voted twice for him and got caught.

I have to agree with Jose Mejia here. If this ends up being a case of a few checks that mistakenly went unreported, then there really is no story here.

I think the Tribune (and the DA's office) need to question more the tips they get from biased sources like John Solis and friends...

Actually a few unreported checks is a crime....in some instances it is a felony! I think that is a pretty big deal.

No doubt if there are unreported checks this is an issue. However, my question is where did the money from the checks go? If into Lujan's pocket, that's a crime. If into his campaign account but not reported on his finance form, that's bad bookkeeping. Quite a difference. I'm willing to see what the investigation turns up before making a judgment.

Why do you disrespect Mayor Lujan by not using his official title: Mayor? In an early post the same day you identify South El Monte's Mayor Blanca Figueroa by writing: "In South El Monte, Mayor Blanca Figueroa ...." Kind of a double standard don't ya think?????????????

Mayor Louie Lujan will be alright. He has done wonderful by the people of La Puente. Don't worry about a title. His seat is safe.

I stand behind Mayor Lujan. This will soon be cleared up. There is hope in La Puente. We as residents have to believe and trust those that represent us.

How about looking into the salary cuts the City wants its hard working employees to take??? (15% cut).......So if employees are taking a cut what is Council going to cut??? Just read it in the City Agenda for this coming council meeting.

Yes, DA waste public resources by chasing down every gossipy lead I give you no matter how far-fetched or unsubstantiated.

Because that's your job DA. Your job is to serve as a smear wing for my political ambitions and objectives....not all that administration of justice crap.

If I say someone is a crook, that's should be enough for you to pull subpoenas and file charges.

You people are blind. Just look around your city and see the wonderful job your elected officials are doing. It is no wonder your city is being over run by local street gangs. There have been numerious shootings in broad dayling and not one of your officials has come out to condemn the shootings, or at the very least, attempt to prevent further street gang violence. It is no wonder your city is violent and dangerous, and in no way safe. Instead you are worry about some corrupt official as to whether or not he is guilty or innocent about not reporting money. May the truth come out.

One has to wonder who in the D.A.'s office is investigating this guy, and did he know this was coming like Ron Beilke in Pico Rivera.

They both have connections with the D.A.'s office, current and former members of congress affiliations.

Look at who has contributed to their campaigns and who they have held fundraisers for.
