While driving this morning from Monrovia to the Garvey School District in Rosemead via Rosemead Boulevard, I noticed dozens of signs for both Charles Trevino and Clarence Wong, who are both running for the seat on the Upper San Gabriel Valley Municipal Water District.
They are running against incumbent Frank Forbes as well as Arthur James Munoz.
What signs are you starting to see pop up?
Former Pasadena reporter Fred Ortega is outta here. Ortega, who also covered regional politics, will be the newest staffer for Board of Equalization representative Judy Chu. Today is his last day with the paper. Dan Abendschein, who has been covering West Covina, will begin covering Pasadena as of Monday, and I will shift over as the West Covina reporter.
On the way back from Taco Nazo in Baldwin Park, Tania Chatila and I spotted these rims for sale. For whatever reason, when we saw it we both cracked up.
Who locks their rims around a tree and puts them up for sale? And where is the fourth rim?? What am I going to do with three rims?
But I can understand why this would be a better alternative than Craigslist.
In case your curious, the rims are $500 bucks.
This sign was posted in front of a concert at the Staples Center and I laughed for about 10 minutes. And then I returned my broom to the car.
