October 2011 Archives
Not sure if I should go to college and just find a adult job (I had already been working since I was 15 at a after school program) and get started with my supposed adult life. I ended up doing both and it felt like life was beating me down (or so I thought, I realize now that i didn't have any really worries then.) and I need some thing to escape it, along came Beavis and Butt-Head to MTV.

The half hour cartoon staring two moronic high school students that would disrupted the teacher during class, trash the music videos that MTV was showing at the time, and doing stupid crap that most people thought about but knew better but there was always the one or two people that would do it any ways.
The show remind people of the kid in the back of the class that disrupted the teacher most of the time and the times when you sat around with your friends watching MTV and laughing and crapping on the videos that they showed and talking about the idiot who started a fire just to melt something and it got out of control.
There was just something about the show that connected with a lot of people. The show was on the air for close to five year, it has 8 seasons, spawned a motion picture "Beavis and Butt-Head Do America" and a great countless amount of merchandise. But soon they stopped making new episodes in '97 and slowly disappeared off television and yet stay on the mind of countless and was referenced in several show such as the Simpsons.

It's 2011, my hair is short, and my thoughts are just as scattered if not more. But instead of worrying about what to do with my life. it's worrying about my bills, my car, and my rent. I have a lot on my plate and my mind again. And life feels like it 's beating me down once again. I need an escape, and I need one bad. And here it is; Beavis and Butt-Head returns to MTV and it can't come soon enough.
The first stop on their triumphant return was on "Jimmy Kimmle Live!" where they interviewed Snooki from "Jersey Shore".
Starting on October 27, the show returns with all new episode in the same animation style and format. A lot has changed since they were last on the air including MTV no longer showing music videos and focusing on shows like "Jersey Shore" and "16 and Pregnant". So in addition the heavy metal loving dudes will also rip in the MTV shows in addition to the music videos.
They're back, and for I for one can't wait!!

I can't wait, on the 18th one of the games I have been waiting for all year is coming out; "Batman: Arkham City". The sequel to what I believe is one of the greatest super hero games ever made, "Arkham City" promises to be larger, longer and crazier than the original.
But what I'm most excited about is the fact that you get to play as other heroes on challenge maps and side missions. You get the heroes through pre order offers and DLC, Catwoman is a DLC for when you buy the game and has a few side mission incorporated into the story mode of the game. If you pre order the game from Best Buy, you receive Tim Drake also known as Robin to be used in the challenge maps and in a few months they will be releasing the man who started his crime fighting career as the original Robin; Dick Grayson now known as Nightwing.
I was a huge comic book geek in high school and college, while never a huge Batman fan, three of my favorite comic books were "Robin" , "Catwoman" and "Nightwing". So the chance to play as them in this game is one of the most appealing aspect of the game for me, it's been stated in a few articles on line that they have their own moves and weapons and not just some skin for the main character which should extend the playability of the game.
The other big plus that I'm looking forward to is more Riddler
challenges, this time instead of
just having the challenges with no real rewards, this time you have to complete
challenges to save some people from traps that mean certain death if not
rescued.
Bigger levels, more playable character and longer story mode, this game looks like it will up to and surpass
the legacy set forth by the first game.
Holy time wasters Batman, I don't think I'll be leaving my house for a month after
getting this.
Last week I sat down trying to figure out what I wanted to do with this blog. I no longer shoot or watch wrestling as much as I use to, so a full time wrestling blog is no longer really an option. I though about it and I couldn't think of any one subject that I wanted to cover, so why not cover a few different ones.
Slam jam is no longer just about wrestling, it will also cover one of the biggest growing trends in Los Angeles right now: Gourmet Food Trucks (A big guy writing about food trucks, how can you go wrong.)
In addition we will be focusing on one of my other favorite past times: Video games. I'm a avid video game player who spends way too much time in front of my tv. I hope this is a start of a very successful blog that is around for a long time to come.
